After the meeting, Li Xi Feng made a few more adjustments to various matters and also moved Mo Da from the intelligence team to one of the people directly under her with his new job undecided before she decided to return home. On her way back, she noticed a particular mansion that was being crowded with people.
"Qin qin go and find out what is happening." Xi Feng said feeling curious about what was happening.
"Yes, my lady."
A few minutes later, Qin qin returned and informed her that the owner of the house was about to sell the house but the people thought that it was too expensive.
"How much was the house?" Xi Feng asked.
"My lady the house costs 100,000 gold coins."
"Is that so? Mo Da goes and buy it under the name of Dai Yu."
Qin qin and Mo Da looked at each other before looking at their mistress as they began to wonder if she had gone crazy spending a large amount of money like that off the bat. Although their mistress could be considered the richest person they know, how could she spend money like that?
"Mo Da what are you waiting for? Hurry up before someone else takes it!" she said handing her bank card over to him which left the helpless man with no other option than to do what was asked of him.
After settling the matters outside, Xi Feng decided that it was time to settle the matters within the Li household.
-------------------------------
"That scoundrel! How dare she refuse what I have decided for her?"
"Father what happened?" Li Lang Fen asked as she stepped into the hall and heard her father's words. 'Could it be that the meeting did not go well today?' she asked within her self.
Hearing her voice, Li Hong looked at his beloved daughter with the love and care that he never showed to Xi Feng. Although they were sisters, the fact that one was more talented than the other did not sit well with him.
"Langfen don't worry. I will personally take care of this matter myself," he said with determination in his voice.
-------------------------------
Xi Feng returned to the Li manor through the back gate to be able to visit her grandmother. When she had left the Death Hall earlier, she had collected some precious medicine to help with her grand mother's illness. As she stood in front of the only place that was like home to her, memories of her childhood and the time she spent here came flooding in her mind. She was unaware of the teardrops that had begun to roll down her face. Musterring up all her courage, she walks into the compound. As usual, it is unkempt and terrible.
"Qin qin, Mo Da. start cleaning this place up while I visit grandmother," she instructed before going to her grandmother's room.
Inside the room was a frail old woman sitting on a chair by the corner staring into the nothingness.
"Grandmother its Xi Feng. I'm here to take grandmother away," she said as she knelt in front of her with a teary face.
As if noticing someone in the room Chen Guang looked up and saw the girl in front of her. As soon as she saw Xi Feng's face, she couldn't help but smile.
"Child you're here," she said softly as if the strength in her body was limited and she needed to conserve it.
"Yes, grandmother. I'm here for you." taking her grand mother's hands in hers.
"I've waited a long time to see you for years but you never arrived. Child, I do not have long left and so I must tell you of your true origins before I depart from this world." Chen Guang said as she wiped the tears from Xi Feng's face.
"Grandmother don't talk like that. I've brought your medicine and someone to look after you for today. Tomorrow, I will take you to our new home and when you get better, you'll tell me whatever you want to. Qin qin!"
"Yes, my lady."
"Take the medicine. The method of preparation is inside. Prepare it immediately."
"Yes, my lady."
"Grandma has a rest while Qin qin prepares the medicine," she said as she prepared the bed after which she helped her grandmother into it.
While her grandmother was resting, she joined Mo Da to clean up the place and not long after they finished, Qin qin brought the medicine and it was fed to Chen Guang. Xi Feng left Mo Da behind to tend to her grandmother before she departed for her room. On getting to her room, she began to pack up her things while Qin qin prepared a bath for her. Being in the family had been suffocating all those years and now she can finally be free. Since she did not own much, packing her things did not take too long. Soon, Qin qin informed her that the bath was ready. It had been a long day and all she wanted to do was rest. The bath was shot and the night shorter and soon it was the next day. The moment she got up, she ordered Mo Da to take her grandmother to the new house before coming back to help her pack her things. As they were about to depart, Li Hong, Jang Fan, and Li Lang Fen all arrived followed by some elders and servants.
"Older sister what are you doing this early morning?" Li Lang Fen the first one to talk asked.
Xi Feng pretended as if she hadn't heard anything and kept to her business.
"Brat are you deaf? What are you doing causing such a ruckus this early morning?" Li Hong shouted.
"Last time I checked my room is about 2-3 miles from the main house and I don't recall disturbing anyone here so if you have no other business here, you can leave," she replied him without even stopping to look at him once.
"My lady this is the last box. Everything is complete."
"You know what?" She collected the keys from Qin qin and gave them to the nanny that had given her the room. "You don't have to worry about this ruckus again. Nanny, you can have the keys back I no longer need them." then she turned to Qin in and Mo Da and signaled them to begin departure.
"Where are you going? How dare you disrespect me! Have you no respect for your elders anymore?" Li Hong said fuming in anger.
"Can't you see for yourself? I'm moving out of this place so you don't have to worry about me anymore not that you ever cared anyway."
"You ungrateful brat! Stop this rubbish at once!"
Without listening to his rantings, Xi Feng led her persons and left the Li family for good.
"Finally I can Breathe," she said silently to herself as the carriage left the gates of the Li family house.
