Skyla Roshanne
I woke up feeling empty, with no Z beside me. I roamed around my room and found no traces of him. My heart instantly felt frustrated and sad.
"Wake up, Skyla. You should feel happy he's not here. No beast bossing around with you." I thought.
Right I should not miss him, instead be happy for his absence, because I know for sure it'll be really awkward waking up with him in my bed, hugging me.
I brushed off the thoughts about Z and quickly took a shower. After I'm done, I head next to the kitchen for breakfast.
While making my way to the kitchen, I find it odd that the house is so quiet, like no one's around. I expected that they were just in the kitchen, eating, but then again I was wrong. No one's in the kitchen, only a few maids are with me. They are preparing my breakfast while I just sat there, feeling confused.
"Where is everybody? Where is Z?" I thought. I know the maids don't know either so I didn't bother to ask. I just felt a little lonely waking up without my brothers or Z. I know I grew up alone, but everything changed when I met my family. I am used to having them everyday with me and it felt new not having them around when I woke up in the morning.
I was so lost in my thoughts that I didn't sense someone injecting me with something, then everything went black.

My body felt so cold. Did I leave my windows opened? Still in my hazy state I tried opening my eyes but finding it hard to do so. It feels like there's something heavy in my eyes that's keeping it from opening. After how many tries, I was able to open my eyes. My mind instantly froze when I realized where I was. I am all alone here in a dark room, lying on the floor and most of all, I am chained like some animal. So that's the reason why I woke up feeling cold. I felt confused.
"Where the heck am I?" I tried recalling my memories and the last thing I remembered is when I felt someone injecting something on me, and everything went black afterwards.
"Wait, did someone kidnap me? Oh shoot, I am so doomed. Did the enemies get me? Of course you idiot, it is surely the enemy!" Now I think I'm going crazy, I am arguing with myself, like some kind of lunatic!
I was still figuring things out when I heard the door open.
"Someone is here!" My mind begins to panic when I hear footsteps coming to where I am. I immediately closed my eyes to pretend that I am still sleeping. I just hope he doesn't find out or else I am so dead.
"Shannie? I know you're awake, get up now and leave before someone finds out." The man called me, almost like a whisper.
My eyes shot open when I heard the man, I know him!
"Alexander! Is that you?" I shouted, I was so excited when I realized he might have come to save me.
"Tone down your voice lady, we don't want others to know, do we?"
"Oh okay I'm sorry I was just excited to know someone is here to save me." I almost forgot I was locked up in this cold room.
"Who said I'm going to rescue you?" He replied in a deadly voice.
My body instantly froze. Is he the enemy? Fear started to creep in my system. And before I knew it, I was freed from the chain wrap around my body. He said some other important things to me before finally letting me go.
"Go now Shannie, use the window to escape from this room. There should be no guards in that area, after that, run as fast as you can to the gate. They are waiting for you there."
And I did, after I jumped out from the window, which I realized is a two-storey building, I started to run. Luckily I was trained by my brothers and of course Z, which enables me to run faster than usual. Coupled with the fact that I grew up in the street, and have been running all my life.
I finally saw some hope when I saw that gate Alexander was referring to earlier. I couldn't thank him enough for saving my life, but what he said before he let me go is still bugging me.
Before I could open the gate, I heard a gunshot and it hit me. I lost my balance, but before my body completely fell to the ground, strong hands caught me.
"My knight is here, Z." I thought.
Before I totally lost consciousness, I heard him say some words to me which I didn't understand because my consciousness is already drifting away.
