When the clock strikes midnight, Kazuma immediately begins his little ritual. Kazuma was clearly not sure if what he was doing is right nor does he is sure this will work or might summon something wrong but for him, nothing ventured, nothing gained which is why he wanted to see whether this ritual does something.
Using the instructions, he visualizes the water flowing around his body. He was not sure if what he was doing is right but he continued to do so. Slowly but surely, he felt something but it was faint. He still continues with visualizing it on his head while keeping his eyes closed.
Soon, he suddenly felt the cold water flowing through him and yet he doesn't feel wet after the water gushing through him and yet he felt it. 'That must be it!' he thought. And so, he proceeds to the next step and visualizes the elements on the four cups.
The first cup was the Fire, the second was water, the third was air, and the last was the earth element. He maintained it for a while before he used the "flowing water" in the four cups and make them flow separately.
As he was doing this, he suddenly felt faint for some reason. Still, he didn't stop and continue doing it. But as he further does so, his energy seems to also slowly disappear and he felt his body getting heavy.
He continues doing it for a while until he can no longer do it anymore and he opened his eyes after stopping the flow, finishing the whole ritual.
Once Kazuma's eyes are open, Kazuma has the urge to catch his breath, like he was just running a few laps around the field even though he clearly did not do that when he was just standing inside the garage without moving a leg.
It took a few minutes before he managed to recover. Once Kazuma felt better, he went to look at the result.
"Holy sh*t..." Kazuma couldn't believe his eyes.
Before him are the four bowls. Each should have water in them but that was no longer the case now. The four bowls have been affected and all of them exhibit all of the signs that the instructions gave. The bowl he visualized and the fire dried up the water inside. Not only that but the bowl has been scorched black despite it being color white before and it wasn't just discoloration as the moment he touched the bowl, his fingers got burned a bit from it. The bowl was burned so hard that it became coal despite not being made of wood.
As for the second one, he visualized water from it and before him, the water was overflowing. Even though there is a finite amount of water put inside, the bowl was overflowing with water for a while. The third one should be the air and right before him was the water inside the bowl but this time, it was floating, like it was being swept away from the wind and lost all of its gravity. There is also a gust of wind blowing below the water as well, leaving the water remaining afloat. Then, there's the fourth one. Inside it is a full-grown plant that the bowl itself is broken and cannot be used anymore. Soil also formed even though he didn't put any soil which makes it even weirder for him.
"The ritual was actually real?!" Kazuma couldn't believe it. After all, what he just did was not supposed to be believable and all he did is do something that seems to have no sense.
He examined them and check everything in case he is just hallucinating but all of the stuff he is seeing are real. Even the burn in his finger still stings which means everything was the real deal and not just an obvious illusion.
On the other hand, just outside of his garage is someone lurking in the shadows, seeing what just happened. Although the person was surprised, they remained composed and continued the surveillance without saying anything.

After cleaning up the garage, he went back to his room and applied some ointment on the burn on his hand while looking into the reply where the instructions were given to him. Since he have done the ritual, it seems the locked messages were now accessible. Before he opens any of the locked messages, he looked at his palm and stares at it for a while.
The moment he finished the ritual earlier, Kazuma felt a weird sensation on his body and he doesn't know what it was. However, he thinks the main reason this is happening is because of what he has done. The ritual has done something in his body and he doesn't know what it is. Perhaps the new replies can give an explanation to him.
According to the instructions, if one of the elements were triggered during the ritual, the said element will be unlocked. But since he did all four, all four were unlocked as well.
"All four huh? Did I just cheat through this one then?" Kazuma chuckled as he pushed the locked fire file.
As soon as he did, sudden knowledge came pouring into his mind that he didn't expect it and he screamed in pain as all the sudden surge of information floods his mind.
It took only a minute but it sure made a hell of a pain for Kazuma as he lay flat on the floor panting for breath.
"What were all of those?" as soon as Kazuma recovers from that, he was left questioning it. Though he now has some unknown knowledge that is now present in his mind. And most of it is related to the element of fire and conjuring it.
He looked at his arm for a bit before he snaps his fingers and a small fire ignited on his fingertips. It was like he is using a lighter but this time, without it.
"Woah, woah, what the f*ck?" Kazuma immediately starts to extinguish it but then he stops. It does not burn him and it might be hot, but it's more of a warm feeling than a painful feeling and his fingers are fine.
"Damn, I panicked for nothing..." Kazuma sighed in relief and observed the flames on his fingers.
"According to the new knowledge, this should be what they call [Flame]. It's the most basic flame ability and is usually just used for normal stuff like burning small stuff or using it for igniting firewood and other basic things a flame can do. But it expands later on and the later spells are now destructive ones."
Kazuma still can't believe that right now, he can suddenly use magic. An ability that he only in fantasy and anime he has seen before. However, the flame in his fingers suddenly gets extinguished and he felt a sudden pain in his head.
"Urgh... lately, I have been getting severe headaches back to back..." he shook his head and returned to his room to lie down.
He tried to use the ability again but it seems to have not worked. Then, Kazuma suddenly thought of what happened and why he felt that way at the moment. It was because not only he just used magic today but he used up his mana. Since magic should be usable now, that also means he also got the mana as well.
"Wait...so I get a headache if I lose a lot of mana? Oh, sh*t... I can't believe I didn't think of this through," Kazuma groaned.
The pain is throbbing for a bit and it's pretty much a painful one but Kazuma can endure it compared to the pain he felt when the knowledge entered his mind. Although there are still a few locked stuff left, he decided not to open them just yet. He does not want to suffer a bigger pain in his head while suffering a mild headache after losing much of his mana.
"The other parts should be for a while then. Until then, I think I needed to rest more than I should need," and Kazuma closes his eyes, falling asleep much earlier than he should.

The observer who was just observing Kazuma earlier emerged from the shadows while looking at the house of the young man who is currently sleeping. She sighed and pulled out her phone and dialed a number that she dials once in a while.
"Hello, this is me. I have already investigated the young man and he succeeded. Just now, he managed to learn and cast the [Flame] spell before passing out."
"So he was successful at awakening? That also means he just didn't stumble at our chat group by accident. It seems fate has already been in motion for him. Alright, what are your other findings?"'
"Ah, about that, I have something I want to talk about that you might not expect and it's about this young man and the elements he just awakened."
"Elements? You mean, he didn't just awaken into one element? That's a rare deal and that is not a common person! Aside from the fire, which element he awakened to?"
"All of them."
"Ah, understandable... wait, can you repeat it again?"
"I just said that he awakened all of the elements a Malkuth trainee Magician can choose on. All four elements are all ready for his awakening."
