"It all started on that fateful winter morning when I found you, son. Or rather begged for you from her, the greater good of all magic in this world. She is the only reason why we still survive in this desolate world. The one who rules us by her fear and power. But our only source of life.", said a cranky old voice which sounded like a sibyl's prophecy.
But the truth was completely different to what eyes showed.
There in that old deserted mountainous area lied a middle-aged woman in the arms of a boy. He looked pretty young, maybe in his prime time around 18 years old. The ground around them was dyed red. With some black droplet-like particles scattered all over the crimson. It was the blood of the lady in white. Her gold locks strewed all over her dirt-caked face. On the verge of her last breaths, she was whispering some unfathomable truths of the youngster whom she called her son. The boy with the looks of a magnificent well-built man with fierce red hair and vivid blazing eyes with golden rings had a stature of 6 feet solid. One look towards him could tell he was a strong man with a fierce heart ready to do anything and sacrifice anything for his family and friends.
But in the face of his misery, of his dying mother, he was losing hope. Something was dying inside him.
" It is the reality of your constitution. The veracity of your life and birth. And the greatest sadness of my life.
You aren't my son, boy. I wasn't able to conceive a child because of my weak constitution. On that winter morning, I had left the house to meet your father who had gone to work in a nearby village. But the thing that I experienced in the way was truly life-changing.", said the woman pausing in between due to her fits of coughing accompanied with blood.
The boy listened to her with the battered breath trying to digest her incisive words.
"I met her in the forest when I was being attacked by a tiger. She saved my life. She looked like a beauty to reckon with the hair as black as the colour of a dark moonless night with no light for hope. Her eyes having the deepest shade of jade. A wicked smile adorning her pale skin. Saving me only to give me something with a veil of hope and despair in hiding. She gave you to me. Only to come to take you after 18 years. She never told me this truth. But a witch can never show kindness and I should have known that", said the woman with her last breath long lost.
And that's when that single strand of hope that remained in the boy's kind heart broke. That's when he lost himself into this world of darkness. That's where his journey to become a nemesis started. That's when the world last saw that aliveness which once defined Suchit Gaikwad.
That's when he decided to end her, The Great Witch Queen and find his identity.
But little did he know that he never belonged to this world. And the act of Witch Queen killing his foster mother shall be an initiation to his journey to the real world, to his world.
A world where magic doesn't exist or rather exists in hiding of veils. Some have veils of darkness while some roam around in broad daylight hiding their true character.
A world is full of surprises, a world full of mysteries and a world among these worlds that belong to him, just him.
