After chatting with his mother for a while longer, Guang Ying decided to call it a night.
That night, Guang Ying had trouble sleeping as the matter regarding Xiao Lei was bothering him. Just as he was about to fall asleep, a soft creak caused by the door opening caused him to wake up again.
Based on the lack of footsteps sound, he knew who it was and thus, he did not bother to open his eyes. A few seconds later, he felt a slight dip from his side of the bed before someone kissed him on the forehead.
Opening his eyes slowly, he saw Callum, who was still in his work attire. Callum's tie had come undone, and he was rubbing his eyes as if he had not slept well for a long time.
"Callum?" Guang Ying glanced at the clock perched high up on the wall opposite of his bed and murmured, "It's 3 a.m. Why didn't you just come home tomorrow morning?"
