"I wanted to surprise you… but why are you crying? What's going on, Cali? Please tell me what's wrong?" Rui muttered while his hand slid in her hair as he tried to comfort her. He was in pain seeing Cali in tears.
"Did I do something to upset you, sweetheart? Please tell me. I won't ever repeat it again, but don't cry like this. I can't see you in tears. Please tell me what happened!"
He wiped the tears away from her cheeks and saw Cali shake her head, and then she broke in a smile when she looked at the flowers and chocolates he put on her bedside table.
"That… You like sweets... so I brought it all for you, and then I realized that I haven't ever given you any flowers so I bought all this at noon to give to you…" Rui explained and pulled Cali in his warm embrace. She also instinctively wrapped her arms around him and felt herself relax in his arms.
