That night the snow fell heavily but the family had fabulous night. They had a wonderful newyear eve dinner which was full of laughters and joy.
The next day, the snow had stopped. The footpath had been cleared. The whole family went to the temple to pray. The elders met few old friends there, they proudly introduced their grandchildren and great grandchild.
Mrs Matsunaga smiled from ear to ear as she heard people complement how good looking the girls and boys in her family were especially the little one. She looked at Kenichi who protected his wife with their baby in her arm. She was very glad that her son had a blissful life.
She went to the fortune telling area.
"Why did you do twice ?" Mr Matsunaga asked.
"First one for Kenichi. He has a good year. And this one is for our kids"
"How is it ? a good one too ?"
"this year looks like a good year for everyone"
"You asked for the kids fortune. how about us ?" Mr Matsunaga teased his wife.
"If the kids are good us is good to. our happiness is their hand"
Mr Matsunaga smiled. He agreed with his wife.
"are you praying for a son in law this year ? "Kenichi said randomly.
"How do you know ?" Mrs Matsunaga was shunned
Every one stared at Ayaka who frantically shook her hands "Don't listen to mum. I still have to finish my thesis and do my internship"
"But it's okay to have boy friends. Do you have one ?"Cacha asked.
"Is it Mr Sato newphew ?" Grandma asked after she saw Ayaka was blushed.
" Is he ? since when ? hey.. you have to tell us !!" Cacha was started to be a busy body again.
"I'll tell you later but don't tell anyone" Ayaka whispered back to Cacha. She needed someone to speak with but her mother was not a good listener perhaps her sister in law would the one.
"Okay" Cacha winked.
Kenichi chuckled and shook his head. His wife never changed.
That afternoon, Kenichi was abandoned by Cacha. She was to busy gossiping with Ayaka. He had no choice but locked his self in his room and burried with work until Kenji knocked the door.
The brothers who rarely talked to each other had a light conversation. Then they went out from the room and chatted with his grandfather and step father the whole afternoon.
He and Cacha packed up the next day. They had to come back because Nick and his little family were scheduled to arrive the day after.
"Grandfather, Grandmother, we're back home now. You have to come and stay with us when My brother come" Cacha said as they bid their good bye.
"We will" Grandma kissed the little boy "Ah.. I already miss you"
"See you soon" Grandpa waived his hand. He too wished to meet Nick again.
"Bye"
Kenichi was very glad that Nick came. He wished Sean and Alan came as well but unfortunately the lawyer was reluctant to travell with three trouble makers.
"How do you feel after become a father ?" Nick asked.
"It's alright. How does it feel to become father of three boys ?"
Nick signed "At least they made me lost weight from chasing them here and there. Especially when Dad was away" He them chased Archie who was just able to walk by him self
Kenichi snorted as he watched the boys actively ran here and there. He waited until Nick came back with Archie "I don't need more boys to lost weight. My wife is enough to keep me active"
He and Nick laughed together. They both had nice brotherhood conversations while Cacha and Alice had video call with their mother.
"Daichi" Mrs Feng waived at the baby.
Daichi moved his hand to reach his Nainai and mumbled 'Nainai'
"Nainai miss you"
the little boy mumbled again 'I miss you too. But why don't you hold me. Nainai I can't reach you" He desperately tried to held his grandmother hand but unsuccessful.
Then Mr Feng turned. Daichi was so depressed. He only can see his grandparents but unable to touch them, he moved his hands frantically but he wass till unable to hold them "do you not love me anymore ?" He cried as loud as he could.
Alice held the baby and coaxed him "Aunty know Daichi misses Nainai. Nainai is at home, she will come again to play with you okay ?"
Daichi sobbed 'at home ? but Nainai was there in front of me"
"Mum, why does he cry ?" Aldo asked Alice
"He misses Nainai"
Austin caressed Daichi "Don't cry little brother. Nainai loves us, she will come again. Lets play ball first"
Austin had alot of experiences with baby cousins. He toasted the ball and hit it with his hand. He pretended to fall down.
This effort was paid off. Daichi laughed when he saw his cousin brother play with the ball. He moved his hand as also want to touch the ball too.
Austen the let the little one touched the ball. Daichi was fulfilled as he was able to reach the ball. He laughed happily. Then Aldo joined them. Two of them successfully made Daichi forgot his sadness of not able to be carried by nainai.
Nick and Alice purpose to come was only to see their little nephew. They did not mind when Kenichi took them to his two resort for few days. He had to go to deliver new year messages and announced bonuses.
The last few days before Nick departure
Grandpa and Grandma Yamaguchi came and stayed in Kenichi's house for two days. The house that was empty since the Anderson were already back to UK to start Kuro and Ann engagement preparations was now lifely again.
Grandpa had good catch up with Nick while Grandma was with Alice. Koji and uncle Ryu were busy with Austen and Aldo. These boy loved to play soccer with them while Aoi held Daichi and Sakura with Archie cheering them.
Kenichi and Cacha watched them from afar. They both giggled as Koji did high five with aldo after they scored a goal. Uncle Ryu gave the ball to Austen and patted the boy's hand "5-1'
Austen nodded "We have to make a goal so 6-1 for us "
"I just wonder if Uncle Ryu understands what Austen said" Cacha signed
"As long as everyone are happy, it doesn't matter"
"Goalll" Austen roared. He and uncle Ryu made highfive.
The weather was getting cold. The snow started to fall.
"Get in side, it start snowing!" Cacha and Kenichi shouted together in different language.
"We still want to play" Austen protested.
"You can play snowman when the snow is thick enough" Kenichi gestured everyone to come inside.
Austen hung his head "Okay"
It was the first cheerful winter for Kenichi. Not only for him but also for his team.
