Cacha had no intention to shop. The old couple were the same. They did not need big discount anyway. They just went there to watch the festive.
They went to a famous restaurant for lunch. May be because not many eateries opened that day, they coinsidently met the old couple friends there. However, Kenichi suspected that it was not coinsident at all. The old couple mostlikely arranged this to introduce Cacha and Kenichi to their circles.
As courtesy, Cacha greeted all his grandparents friend warmly. On the other hand, Kenichi just gave a nod not even smile. He chose a table that was a little farther away from the crowd.
Kenichi phone beeped once. It was a message from Kuro. He read it and put it back on this pocket without replying "Kuro has a hardtime there"
Cacha nodded"He must be very nervous. Elena too"
Ren took Elena to his parents house for the first time. His parents lived in small city. They run a tofu shop, made and sold it by their self. Elena had trouble to adapt with small city living style and also the cultural barrier.
"Serve their right" Kenichi giggled.
"Darling, how did you feel when the first time you met my family ?"
Kenichi dodged the question by feed her. Cacha took the food but she did not distracted "Hey.. answer me"
"I was okay. Yous siblings were fun"
"Did you nervous ?"
"No"
"Really ?"
"Of course"
"You're lying. you must be nervous, right ? Am I right ?"
Kenichi sealed his mouth and did not say anything. She did not give up.
"Tell me" She gave him a puppy eyes.
Kenichi laughed. He kissed her lips "The first time I met them, we're not in relationship yet. So, I was fine. But..."
"but ?!" She waited impatiently for the next story.
"I was very nervous when I talked with mum on the phone when we're in Zurich. It even worst when I came to your house. My stomach was hurting"
She could not help but laughed at him. He pinched her nose "Hey.. don't laughed at me. If you're still laughing, I'm going to kiss you"
She did her best to hold her laugh. Whe she imagined how he looked like back then, she could not help but giggled. He still considered it as laugh and really gave her a punishment.
Their lovey dovey interaction attracted the crowd attention.
"how long have they been married for ?" One of the lady asked.
"Not long. Just over a year" Grandma said .
"They look like a fresh newly wedding, still sweet" The other said.
Grandma Anderson smiled joyfully. Some of the Anderson's friend were envied at Kenichi ans Cacha sweet relationship. Their family members struggled with their married just after few months, but they still maintained good image in public.
"They must love each other deeply" other added.
Grandma Anderson signed "Our boy is handsome. A lot of ladies fall in love with his physical but his temperament is rather funny. Sometimes, we and his father can not handle him. Lucky, Charlene is good girl. She can accommodate him very well"
"has she pregnant yet ?"
Finally, Baby issue was touched.
Grandma smiled but she could not hide her sadness "My boy said he's too busy and had not much time for wife. So, he said he doesn't want to have a baby at this time being"
"My son admitted that your grandson is very good on his work. He met them in Japan last year. He said he hardly seen young man like yours, hardworking and very accountable. He also praised your granddaughter in law" One of Grandpa Anderson friends said.
"Charlene is indeed a very good lady, it's our luck to have her in our family. Her family are no different. About career, What's the point of having good career but their relationship is sour. For us, as long as they're happy, it's enough" Grandpa Anderson said. Everyone were more than agreed with him.
After lunch, Kenichi insisted to go back home. His grandparents asked them to goll out agaib. He firmly refused the request. He avoided to meet his grandparents as much as he could.
Unfortunately, did not get what he wished. the next day, Andrew forced him and Cacha to meet his friends and business relations for lunch. Kenichi was not a socialite, he hardly joined drink session with his colleagues. So, he did not enjoy the lunch very much.
Cacha was the same. She had trouble to participate in the ladies conversation. They mostly all talked about topic that she was not interested with, such as fashion and jewellery.
By the end of the lunch, Kenichi's mood reached the lowest point. He loudly expressed his disappointment. After that, Andrew and his parents did not ask him to come to any function again.
The next afternoon, No dinner or lunch appointment for them. Grandpa Anderson took Kenichi out, only two of them.
"where are we going ?" He asked as he followed his grandfather.
"You will know soon. You drive the car"
Kenichi was still puzzled but he still drove the car. After about half an hour later,
They arrived at a small office building. The place was rather shabby. He was more or less figur out what place it was.
"Sir" Two strong men greeted them politely.
Grandpa Anderson just smiled. the men then took them inside.
"Sir, Long time not see. It's a Christmas surprise for us" A middle age man smiled and shook hand with Grandpa.
"Well merry x'mast"
The middle age man then obserced Kenichi "This young man is.."
Grandpa smiled "My grandson. Finlay, this is Hawk"
When Grandpa Anderson retired from the organisation and focused on his family business, one of his sons involved. He only left the organisation to this rightman, Hawk.
Kenichi extended his hand "Hawk of Manchester? "
"How do you know me ?"
Kenichi smiled "Nice to see you in person. It's Monk"
"Monk ?! you're the monk ?" Hawk was dumpstruck.
"Do you know each other ?" Grandpa was surprised too.
Kenichi smiled "Kind of"
Hawk laughed "We have business deal. Unbelievable, so The monk is old master grandson. I should've guess it. Your style are similar to each other. So, is he going to takeover it now ?"
Grandpa chuckled "Finlay, what do you think ?"
"Nah.. I already have alot in my hand"
Hawk laughed "Well, we just wait and see. Perhaps, he change mind in the future"
"Who knows but at the time being. it's still under you"
Hawk then introduced Kenichi to the whole members. Kenichi was rather more comfortable with these people. It was true than when people said birds of same feather folk together.
Once they talked the lost track. They only came back at night after grandma Anderson yelled at them.
