Chapter 3 - 1.3 Let's Talk About HaiLoong Now, Shall We?

Enough talking about me. Right now it's fine to talk about Hailoong instead. He had been in the DEA for some years now. Before he had been a military cadet trainee in Blackwater Training Facility here in Georgia as well as SWAT CNT or the Crisis Negotiations Team and has undergone some months in both of the training facilities.

He goes not come out tops in both of the training academies, but he did pass his overall final examinations satisfactorily and he then been employed under DEA Special Tasks Force. This DEASTF was unique in its own ways.

During one of the trials that he needs to undergoes what was it like being a drug user under a controlled environment. He had the chance to test multiple controlled dosages if drugs, opiates, hallucinogens and other substance abuse from household products like glue and the 'happy can'.

After each trial, he would then need to write a report on the effects in his mind and body and how the body would be able to reject the doses that had been administered to him. A team of doctors were in standby to monitor his vital signs and he wasn't alone when he took the trials.

In doing so, it somehow manages to educate him to a higher level on how to distinguish between a user, abuser or an addict. Furthermore, he would be able to act his speech and movements to that of an abuser to gather more information in order to land the bigger fish, the drug lord themselves.

Each Misson of his would take weeks in the end and he had also undergone a special training where he would need to be in disguises as and when it's needed.

Sometimes, he had to put on and replaces his disguises thrice in a day and that's why he always maintain a clean-shaven head and face and able to put on a wig of a sunburnt tussle of hair from a beach boy, an old wrinkly side walk man with a walking cane at his sides or a typical hoodlum that lurks in alleyways to purchase drugs and get them to analyse in the DEASTF van.

His job has always been dangerous but he was always suited with a Type 2 armoured sleeveless tank top under his shirt. YES...! It is a tank top that had a Type 2 armoured protection. It is stronger than Kevlar because its material was researched from a kind of web, a spider had spun.

(Not spiderman, mind you) and a single strand when coupled to make a detcord or a paracord is strong enough to suspend a 100-pound deadweight.

Not only that, it's as strong as steel and would be able to replace Kevlar and its as flexible as an undervest wear. Researchers had made the material to replace some of the cords of parachutes the were being used to airdrop cargoes over some desert or remote parts of the islands and wilderness and was able to hold a 500 inflatable rolling gallon of fluid.

Yup, and HaiLoong wear that every single day as part of his everyday wear because it is simply unnoticeable that he was wearing protective gear over his body.

However, I find it rather stupid because the head is still exposed to a sniper's shot. Maybe they should make it like a shawl so it could cover up the whole head and face. Haha.

His weapon of choice was a Glock 18C with a high cap magazine that is able to load up to 35 rounds and not 36 because to load it to maximum capacity may simply jam the springs. It uses a standard 9mm Silvertip hollow point or simply switch the magazine, barrel and slide to accommodate .45 ACP rounds...

In certain scenarios, he would use XTP rounds which stands for Extreme Terminal Penetration rounds. This bullet had a unique head where instead of having a snub or a pointed tip, this XTP round has a concave serrated tip. A single round shot at 30 feet would be able to penetrate 6 layers of Type 1 Armour and stops dead on a 6mm mild steel plate thereafter.

This round is not approved in any of the states but however, DEASTF of Georgia managed to get approval for the usage when he had encountered a pack of weres or 'werewolves' that were peddling high-grade heroin or cocaine on the streets.

There was an incident where the Were's sensitive noses were able to pick up that HaiLoong was clean, and acted to purchase a small quantity from them to be brought back to analyse, when one of the peddlers had transformed part of his forearm and wanted to tear HaiLoong's chest to get to his heart.

He managed to empty his pistol's clip and a manged to injure them, thus angering them more. They turned yellow-eyed and chased HaiLoong down the alley and fortunately HaiLoong's backup was there and managed to chase them off with their 12 gauge buckshot.

It was a harrowing experience for HaiLoong and he had to undergo a 2-week counselling session due to that. After he was certified fit to work, he slowly readjusted from being a desk-bound and back on the streets again. This time he got the XTP rounds to back him up.

A single shot would be able to decapitate and slices through a least a few of them if they were standing in a straight line. I would love to see their entrails and internal organ simply ripped apart and there is no such help that can be rendered to fix them up before an ambulance reaches them.

Yeah... XTP rounds would make history if the law enforcement approves of them. Only the DEASTF had them lock and loaded in their personal firearms. It is much better than silvertip or being blessed by holy water. Because each shot would cause 'HOLY SHIT' to happen.

The Weres, to me, are just a bunch of scavengers who like to move in as a pack. The Omega, however, was a recluse lone wolf that the pack of weres themselves distrust. So far, these damn scavengers whether they are Shapeshifters or Skinwalkers hadn't crossed their lines with me.

But if that day happens, these cold and hot weapons that I possess would do the same trick as the 'Night Crawlers'.

Yeah... Just one day, they would meet their maker.
