Chapter 10 - UNSPOKEN DEAL

6:30 Am

The door to the room was opened letting the first sun ray of the days shine forth into the dimly lit room where the three hostages where kept.Three hefty men came in armed with Kosalvicky riffle

"Up and shine ki***es..." one of the men with an angular face spoke out to the hostages spewing vulgarities as a form of heavens knows what.

Akpan and the other two hostages hissed and cursed at the hefty men while squinting their eyes openand trying to rub their eyes to tune it with the sunrays refraction in the eyes lest to realise that thier hands where tied to thier back left with no choice they squinted their eyes again forcefully tuning their eyes to the rays refracture in the room.

Barely opening thier eyes, they were forcefully dragged out of the room without much choice.

"F**k can you be any forcefull dude.." Ebele blurrted out with constrained anger in his voice "...have some respect for your father here yo ..." The Mercanaries barely glanced at him and continued dragging them outside.

When they stepped outside they saw around twenty mercenaries gathered with Saviour in their lead.

" Good morning gentlemen. Hope you had a sound rest yesterday night. Sorry about the uncout treatment yesterday, however we have business to do today…" Saviour said hinting at Akpan to take the lead.

"So how I'm I to do my work with tied hands ?.." Akpan said hinting at his hands tied to the back."... Besides where the f**k I'm I supposed to start from… for heaven's sake this placeis a huge maze.".

"Well that's your work..how the heck I'm I supposed to know.Thats why you are the expert. Stop whining and begin working…." Saviour blurrted out while maintaining his standard upper lip curled smile.

The group began their journey into the wild outland of Plutino led by Akpan who was wordlessly studying his map and looking up from time to time studying the surrounding and it relevance to the structure of Plutino as well as the placing of the sun in hopes to decipher any other valuable information

3:00 Pm

After searching fruitlessly for the entire morning and a quarter of the afternoon, the group set up camp again after all even Mercanaries where flesh and blood and oft got tired as much as others.

" So what now big guy" a member of the brotherhood standing Behind Saviour whose name Akpan knew due to the whole journey in the morning asked out… clearly irritated by the constant buzzing mosquito which was having a go at his blood in this tropics. The effect of the mosquito assembly or rather was it congregation clearly shown on his European Sun tanned skin.

"Can you give me some space?..." Akpan curtly replied anger evident on his face "..... Im letting my brain loose here besides it's not as if you've told me what we looking for…" Crowe snorted in response after all as he thought what was the point of getting pissed over a dead man. He quietly left the "dead man " to his fiddling and whatnot.

Saviour strolled in maintaining his standard smile.

"Just like your fiancee". Saviour said slowly.

"What do you mean 'just like my fiancee'?.." Akpan blurrted out without thinking

"..... I swear by the heavens that if anything has happened to her I'll screw your operation over" Akpan added with a look that implied try me if you do not value your operation.

"Oh please she is still useful to me after all she is the leash I have against you till well Monday I'd say…." Saviour responded smiling.

Akpan stared at Saviour a myriad of emotions running through his mind and face.Anger, confusion, astonishment and despondency and failure.

Anger at Saviour because of his betrayal. Confusion because of Saviour unpredictability. Astonishment because of Saviour seeming ability to have everything in or under his control.Despondency becuse of his inability to change his and his friends fate. Failure becuse he had truly failed to provide refuge to himself or his friends

At hearing Saviour say that Akpan will not live to see the dawn of Monday. Kate who was hitherto sitting on the ground silently began screaming and cursing

" Bastard, you demon, you promised me you won't hurt him.." Saviour smiled replying

" yes I did and I have kept my own part of the deal… I haven't hurt him nor will I hurt him but if any other guy around here does i… t well then it cannot be said that I infringed on my own part of the deal, can it ?…" Akpan looked at both Parties confused as to what deal they meant.
