[Day 15]
Two days from our live performance on the plaza, more students applied to our Faction. I briefly scanned through them and I found the list satisfying as it was not as horrible as before.
We were all just lounging in our room till the door suddenly flew open and in came Niira with two persons behind her.
Niira: "Guys! you won't believe who I have with me"
BaekGi: "Who are they?"
Niira: "Come in both of you, introducing the Mins~"
Minzie: "The Mins?"
Niira: "This is MincyKate and Minchin, come on guys introduce yourselves"
MincyKate: "Hi, I'm MincyKate a 2nd-year Scholar student"
Minchin: "I'm Minchin, a 3rd-year Physician"
Niira: "Ain't this a nice coincidence?"
I gave Niira a menacing look, showing my discomfort about her behavior but she just shrugged it off.
Arinael: "Oh yeah Min, have you finalized the list of who to accept?"
Minzie: "Yes, it's on top of the drawer"
She took the papers, skimmed through them and raised her eyebrows after lifting her head.
Arinael: "Only these?"
Minzie: "Uhum, plus the other Mins"
Arinael: "Okay then, I'll bring them over to Mr. Yi~"
Minzie: "Mr. Yi won't like you just because you bother him every day!"
She ignored me and continued to skip along her way, I just hope she doesn't trip on herself.
Minzie: "Minchin and MincyKate right? Welcome to Winter Lily"
Syane: "A Physician? spar with me Minchin"
Vasi: "Syane, that's not how you great a new member"
Minzie: "No, I think it's a good idea, the only Physician we have before was Arinael, this is an opportunity to grow"
BaekGi: "Minzie has officially joined the Bully Arinael Squad"
Minzie: "What do you mean~ I didn't say anything wrong"
Chubs: "Your words can't hide the message you're implying".
We decided to bring the challenge outside, it was me and Syane versus Minchin and MincyKate.
The two of them pulled out their weapon and started to enchant their spells, Syane summoned a shield made out of stones and watched them closely. While I was thinking of what spell to cast, Syane already jumped forward and Minchin was already done with her incantation.
Minchin: "Render him immobile, Paralyze"
Syane: "Ackk!", he suddenly stopped moving and he dropped his spear?
As Syane was stuck in the middle of the battlefield, MincyKate now released her attack.
MincyKate: "Icicle Daggers!"
In a panic, I summoned the first magic spell I can think of.
Minzie: "Fire Blast!"
My attack made it in time and made contact with MincyKate's daggers however it caused an explosion and Syane was caught up in it.
Syane: "Ackkk!"
We all gathered up around Syane to check if he's alright.
Minzie: "Syane! are you okay?"
MincyKate: "I'm so sorry, I didn't intend to hurt you"
Niira: "Syane are you still alive?"
Chubs: "Do we need to process his papers for leaving the faction now?"
Syane: "Argh! come on at least bring me to the infirmary first"
BaekGi: "What do you mean? We have Vasi here"
Syane: "I don't trust her, last time she healed me really slow just to laugh at me"
Vasi: "Don't twist what happened, your wounds were deep last time, also you make such funny face when you're in pain, I can't help myself haha"
BaekGi: "Anyway, let's bring let's get him treated first, we don't want a member dying on the first year of Winter"
Syane: "If I die, I swear I'm gonna hunt all the Mins to ever live"
Minzie: "Oh come on, don't drag the innocent"
BaekGi and Chubs dragged Syane away so he can be treated properly and we want back to our room to get some rest.
MincyKate: "That was some fast incantation Min"
Minzie: "I learned that from Syane, he might seem like a troublesome one but he isn't stupid, I admire his fighting skills"
Minchin: "Are there any drawbacks?"
Minzie: "Ah yes, we can't control our power properly yet with this method making the magic unstable"
Minchin: "I see, but it's not without potential, but instead of doing it with high-intensity magic spells you should practice with the more simpler ones"
MincyKate: "Ah, I get it, instead of Fire Blast why don't we try out Puff"
Minzie: "But that's a useless move, we can't attack with it"
MincyKate: "Well it is for practice after all"
Minzie: "Okay, I see, but that spell you used, Icicle Daggers, how did you come up with it, ice isn't a common element thought in this university"
MincyKate: "Ah you have to practice with both water and fire elements for that"
Minchin: "How do you make ice with fire?"
MincyKate: "You don't, you just have to extract all the heat from the water, basically you make the water's thermal energy close to the freezing point thus forming ice"
Minzie: "And Minchin's spell sound off"
Minchin: "Mine was a basic paralysis spell, but I altered the incantation a bit and as a result, it lasts longer than the original one"
Syane's method is something but these two are in a different league, I guess I still have a long way to go.
