Morning inside the large tent that Radd was staying in.
" Hey, this one is dead. "
" This guy is also dead. "
" Same here! "
Four men wearing fine green robes were going from one cubicle to another checking if the patient inside managed to live through the night.
Radd woke up light headed and feeling tired. Eyelids still heavy, he slowly pushed himself to a sitting position.
Four brown curtains are placed around him forming a rectangle shaped cubicle where his blood-stained matt is.
His body is still full of bruises but unlike yesterday night, the bruises aren't that painful anymore and he is now able to move without being pricked to tears by the stinging pain.
As he was inspecting his injuries for any signs of infection, one of the men wearing green robes barged in.
The man looked like he is in his early twenties, had an amiable face, long black hair that was tied neatly, thick eyebrows, a fairly pronounced jawline, and was standing around 5"9.
The man was surprised when he saw Radd already able to sit and move about. If he's not mistaken, this man was beaten black and blue yesterday. To not waste resources, they only treated him lightly and just hoped for the best.
" Oy, this one is still breathing! " The man paused for a bit then shouted.
" Good. " A monotone voice rang out five cubicles away.
" Do you need help treating him? " Replied another guy three cubicles away.
" No, It is fine, I can handle this. " The man said, assuring the other guy.
Focusing back on Radd, he assessed the status of the injuries. As he went through the injuries, his face couldn't help but show a weird expression on top of a frown. The further check-up showed promising results for the patient, in his estimate the patient would only need around a month to fully recover.
It must be known that with how severe the patient's bruises were, it wouldn't be out of expectation to see him dead this morning.
"I am Falko, one of the apprentice doctors in this camp. Your name?" The man introduced himself while checking Radd's pulse.
" Radd. "
" Radd, you are one tough guy. If your progress stays consistent, you'd be able to recover soon. " Falko finished his assessment.
" Well then, I still have to finish checking the other patients, I'll give you your medicine later. " Falko added and stood up.
" I feel light headed and my vision is sometimes a bit weird. " Radd asked for the sake of conversation.
As if he had been waiting for him to ask that question, Falko's face beamed with joy and said with great confidence " That's from blood loss, you would be fine as long as you take the medicine I will give later and properly rest. "
Having his question answered, Radd didn't bother Falko anymore and thanked him for 'treating' him.
Falko slightly nodded in return and was about to leave when he spotted a light blue bottle on the corner. Seeing the bottle, he probed " Is that glass bottle yours? I don't remember you having it when you were rushed here. "
Caught surprised, Radd hurriedly grabbed for an answer" Oh that sir… My father gave it to me."
Hearing his reply, Falko's eyes glinted for a moment as his eyes stayed glued at the glass bottle. Falko moved towards the glass bottle and unceremoniously inspected it. " Great. Great. Great craftsmanship. Wonderful. "
Radd was speechless seeing Falko's look, he thought "It's only a glass bottle...."
Seeing a chance to befriend Falko, Radd cleared his throat and humbly said "If sir could take the glass bottle as a gift, my humble self would be happy. "
Hearing Radd's offer, Falko was ashamed of himself for taking the glass bottle without the owner's permission. But then again, the light blue glass bottle is leagues above the hand blown glass bottles used by Falko.
Falko had always wanted to buy a masterfully crafted glass bottle for himself but never had the chance since studying medicine is a never-ending sinkhole of wealth. Only official doctors and apprentices with great background have the leeway to buy quality glass bottle for their concoction.
" I'll accept your gift. You can find me next time if you have trouble. " Falko's face was radiating great joy as he left with the glass bottle in hand.
Seeing that the doctor has left, Radd heaved a sigh of relief and summoned the system to further his knowledge of its ins and outs.

He chose the Technology Tree first but what welcomed him was an empty screen. Puzzled, Radd thought " How does the Technology Tree work? ".
With his question, another blue transparent screen popped up.
****
Everything that the host is researching and has successfully researched would be present on the Technology Tree. Items that have been successfully researched would be colored while things under research would have a grey shade.
To advance your civilization you can either independently research which would cost a lot of CP or inherit other civilization's technology which cost significantly less.
Please note that to inherit technology, you would need a material to research ( this could be blueprints, actual products, a compilation of concepts, or anything similar ).
The time for each research depends on how solid the foundation of your technology tree. If you want to speed up your research, you can use CP to do so.
****
The screen slowly disintegrated into thin air after Radd finished reading. Not wasting time he went back and selected the Build and Create Function.
Again, it was also an empty screen. Although he already had an idea as to why it is empty, he still asked how it works just to make things clear.
****
Build and Create - Here the host can build any of the technologies that have already been researched. It takes considerably fewer resources to build than to directly buy from the shop. Another advantage of this function is that you can instantly build an indefinite amount of items as long as you have enough resources.
****
Seeing that he cannot do much on this section, he went to the shop to look for interesting items he could buy.
Endless amounts of trivial stuff flooded the opening list making it very troublesome to search for a specific item but is great for aimlessly looking around.
*Grrrrrlllll!!!!*
While he was scrolling down, a thundering grumble came out of his hungry stomach that he had been suppressing since yesterday night. Strength left his body as he felt like he had been dumped a bucket of cold water.
Hunger seeped into his bones, it was as if he had been deprived of food for a week. His body craved for nutrition to support his recovery.
" When would breakfast be served? " Radd helplessly sighed while rubbing his stomach.
Since he doesn't know when food will be served, he turned to the shop and searched for food that he could afford.
****
A loaf of White Bread. Cost: 2 CP
A loaf of Rye Bread. Cost: 2 CP
Steamed Bun. Cost : 0.5 CP
Sour Bread. Cost: 2 CP
...
...…
Fried Chicken. Cost: 5 CP
...…
Xxx Xxxx Energy Drink. Cost : 3 CP

The huge selection of food on the list made Radd's eyes shine and his mouth water. He hurriedly bought a steamed bun, whole fried chicken, and his favorite energy drink.
Everything he bought appeared out of thin air and dropped on his lap. Like a beast, he tore the packaging and started devouring everything. Great sense of satisfaction coursed through his body while eating, giving him foodgasms.
After he finished eating, the place became a huge pile of mess. Torn packaging littered the cubicle while he laid on the matt with a bloated stomach and a stupid smile hanging on his face.
Heavens, he couldn't help but just sigh at how great the food was.
His hunger satiated, Radd's attention moved back to the system. He summoned it again and asked how the CP works. Not failing to deliver, the system immediately replied with another pop-up screen.
****
Civ Points ( CP ) is the main currency used by the system. The host will naturally generate CPs depending on the place you are in. Currently, the host is generating 120 CP/day.
CP is vital in furthering the host's technology as every research consumes massive amounts of CP. Furthermore, building a tech that you had already researched consumes varying amounts of CP.
To earn CP you can either sell items in the shop or absorb energy which would, in turn, be converted into CP. Please note that you can't sell items that you can't personally carry and every item can only be sold a certain amount of time every day.

" So that 's how it is, pretty neat. " Radd commented as he pushed himself back to a sitting position. He collected the trash that plagued his cubicle and piled them to a corner.
Putting his hands on the pile of trash, he thought of selling them to the system shop. Then, a notification had shown itself asking if he really wants to proceed on selling which he accepted.
All of the trash was successfully sold for half a CP. The amount was negligible at best but still, a welcomed one, not to mention he was also able to get rid of it, sparing himself the trouble in racking his brain to find a way to dispose of it.
Without anything else to do, Radd could only lie down, and think of what to do next.
He knows nothing about this world which greatly hindered his planning. If he had just received the memory of the previous owner of the body, he would have a reference. Now though, it was as if he is a blind man walking without a stick, he could only slowly move so as not to trip.
