It was late at night with the sound of the wind blowing through the trees and the calm streets when the phone rang suddenly waking up Shion from his sweet dreams.

He was surprised to see a strange number calling him at this hour. Though he was skeptical, he answered the phone. The first thing he heard was loud sirens that woke him up from the slight unconscious state he was in, but eventually, he heard a saddened voice as if this person was about to inform him of bad news, saying "Hello, is this Shion, the son of Oshikawa and Mira?" with a pitiful tone.

He was taken aback at first, not knowing who this was or how did he know his parents and his number. He had to know what was going on, so he answered with a hesitant tone "Y.. Yes, who is it?"

"This is... There was a car accident involving your parents in the intersection near the newly built Titan Mall"

Shion stood up suddenly and was shocked not knowing what to say or what to do. "What do you mean? Are they alright? Where are my parents?" Shion said with anxiety and fear.

There was a moment of silence that felt like an eternity for Shion before the other party answered him with an even more pitiful tone saying "They.. Unfortunately, the accident was severe and no one survived the crash".

At this moment, the phone fell from his hands. Shion suddenly felt like he was about to faint and light started to fade out of his eyes, but then, he himself fell down.

After some time Shion finally regained his consciousness and didn't believe what just happened, so he ran down with his messed up looks with tears flowing from his eyes like water gushing out from a cliff creating a waterfall that would submerge everything under it.

After running for quite a while, he finally got to the place were the crash supposedly happened, thinking there would be a huge mess with ambulance cars all around, but there was nothing. The place was quiet and empty with barely any cars on the street.

Shion fell on his knees on the side of the street recalling the phone call he had with the guy that told him about the news.

"Could it have been a prank call? But who would do such a thing? For someone to know my number, my parent's names, and where I live, it must have been a planned call, but why?". Shion's head was filled with questions.

Then a thought flashed through his head, could he have been dreaming all along? He looked in his phone but didn't find the strange number that called him. He was then filled with disbelief.

[It felt so real, so how could it just be a dream?

What is going on?

I am sure that it wasn't a dream though.]

Shion didn't know what was going on. He still wanted to make sure that nothing happened to his parents, so he called them, it took a while for them to answer since it was late at night, and everyone was sleeping, but they eventually answered.

"Hey son, is something wrong?" His fathered answered with a drowsy tone since he was sleeping.

Shion was speechless, he discovered that his parents were okay after thinking they might have died. Who wouldn't be?

He didn't know if he should tell them or not about what was going on, but he thought it would be best not to tell them, so he casually replied, hiding his feelings, "Oh, sorry for calling at such an hour. While holding the phone it fell, and called you by mistake".

"Okay then, how are you these days? We haven't talked to each other in a couple of days..."

They chatted for some time and eventually ended the call. Shion was still perplexed over everything. He finally stood up and started walking back home in bewilderment.

The next morning, Shion came out of bed with a pale look on his face, since he wasn't able to sleep yesterday from all that has happened to him. He wasn't able to come to a realistic solution to what has happened other than it was just a dream, yet he still didn't believe it was actually just a dream.

As a college student, he still had lots of stuff to do for his classes the day after, so he decided to put aside these thoughts of his, and start working.

After a couple of days have passed, Shion was still thinking about what happened, even though he said he wouldn't think about it anymore and continue living his life, but it was too hard not to after what have been through.

A day ago, a plane has crashed in the center of the city near him. Everyone on the internet and TV was talking about it nonstop. It was a shock to the whole world since thousands of people died in the crash.

Shion brought his dinner and was about to eat when he opened the TV, but as he expected, everything was about the crash. He had no other option but to watch that since nothing better was on TV.

When he was about to start eating, Shion suddenly became a bit light headed and drowsy; it was a similar feeling to what he experienced before when he heard about his parent's accident, but now, it seems that he is was a bit more in control over his mind and body, unlike before, he didn't faint.

Shion felt a bit strange that he had that same feeling. He looked around him and after a couple of seconds, he was back to normal. He disregarded what just happened thinking it was just because he hadn't eaten for a while.

He started eating and looked to the TV, but there was nothing about the plane crash, he flipped through the channels, but none of them had anything to do with the crash.

Shion was shocked and opened his phone to check out the crash, but his body suddenly trembled in fear. There was nothing about the crash, nothing at all.
