Chapter 5 - Chapter 5

Arthur followed his father but that was  not before eying a crying Manuel. Manuel never knew why his brother didn't like him much. His sister Lucy ran to hug him as His mother opened her eyes.

"Mum I'm sorry Dad hurt you because of me." He cried hugging his mum. She held him close to her.

"You Dont have to be." She smile like Nothing happened. "Come for dinner Nuel." And so they had dinner, Manuel his mother and sister. Together in love.

When Manuel went to sleep that night. He put the painting  he had just drawn in front of his bed just close to his door. As he slept he asked the Almighty for peace.

Manuel's eyes fluttered open when he felt a hand touch him. His Heart skipped a thousand beats as beads of sweat fell down his face. He had wanted to scream but the hand held his mouth tight. He shivered fear taking control of his senses. But when he heard the voice of the person holding him he relaxed.

"Its mum. Its mum!" Lucy repeated "Pack everything you can now we have to leave." His mother whispered urgently. His eyes were open so wide it almost fell from its socket. When he tried to speak his mother hushed him, the urgency in her eyes symbolizing danger. But he couldn't also miss the pain and fear although they were well hidden he could sense it. He felt uneasy.

"Now!" Lucy shouted, harshly. That was all Manuel needed to move Into action. He packed everything he needed in the space of five minutes. He didn't have much clothes or shoes since he barely went out except to school and church. His isolation game was very strong. He took only papers his paints and brush all in a bag pack he hung on his shoulders.

His mum had watched him pack impatiently. Her eyes darting to the door. "Let's go." She half screamed her eyes not leaving Manuel. She pulled the window up and gestured for him to come over.

He looked reluctant, he was reluctant.

"What!" His mother asked growing impatient. Manuel said nothing, he just Kept on shaking his head. Lucy caught on to why her son was reluctant. And with no emotion she said "Your siblings are dead. Your dad was the first to die. We only have each other now and if we want to live we have to go now." His mother said with sadness and urgency. "We have to go Manuel they are here for you. We have to. Snap our of it!" She said shaking his shoulders. Manuel was still shocked.

Manuel didn't understand what his mother was saying. Was she playing around, she had to be. It looked like he was in a nightmare.
