"Little Jia is asleep?" Lu Aotian asked.
"Yeah."
The little girl had been too excited. She played around happily and got so tired that she could no longer stay awake. After all, she was still sick.
She had jumped around in Wan Jia's and Lu Aotian's room and in the end; she fell asleep sprawled on the carpet.
When Wan Jia bent down to pick her up and put her on the bed, the little girl shook her little head in her sleepy daze. "Mommy, Little Jia is a big girl now. I'm even an elder sister. I don't need to be carried."
After saying that, she stood up struggling to rub her eyes open and made to leave the master bedroom, but went right back and climbed onto the bed. Even then she still needed help because she was too short.
With her eyelids tightly shut despite her efforts, she mumbled. "Mommy, can Little Jia sleep here just this once?"
She was too sleepy to go to her own room.
