"You!.." she was so angry she almost pulled her hair off her scalp. "You're even defending her? And you said you love her? But you said you love me just less than an hour ago, sob sob sob sob"
"That's because I love you both, is it not obvious?" he smirked.
This time she threw her little fists at his chest making Lu Aotian laugh at her even more. Although she was crying this hard, he was happy. It made him happy that she was mad about him loving someone else. That meant that she wasn't faking her feelings for him.
The girl wiped rubbed her big teary eyes with her fist and clung onto his arm, looking up at him. "Is she prettier than me?" she blinked pitifully.
"I can't compare. You both look alike." Besides, he would like to stay alive much longer.
"Yun Xuan? You idiot! How could you love my friend? How shameless!" she pushed him away angrily as if he had forced his arm into her hands.
It was getting too serious. "Who said it was a woman?"
"Of course it can't be a man," she rolled her eyes.
"It can't. But it can be a little girl." he continued just before she called him a disgusting pervert, "She's only three."
"You....wait. Little Jia?" realization struck her.
"What do you think?"
She threw a playful punch over. "You did this on purpose, right?"
He held the soft little hand in his, placing little kisses on her fingers. "I only said I love someone else. Who would have known you'd let your imagination run so wild?"
She glared at him furiously.
He pinched her adorable cheeks lightly. "Call that your punishment."
"What punishment?" she didn't remember doing anything wrong.
"For leaving. You didn't think I was simply going to let you off, now did you?"
"..." fine, you win.
"Look at you, you look just like a baby." he wiped her remaining tears and kissed her lips lightly. "Even Little Jia doesn't cry this hard. Are you a one year old?" he teased.
She was so tired from crying that she didn't want to argue with him any longer.
"So now that we've cleared the air, why don't we all go to the theme park? Little Jia will be so sad if we don't." she dared to ask.
'Are you sure it's Little Jia who will be sad and not you who'll flood the whole villa in tears?' he thought.
He didn't get angry as she feared. In fact, he looked like he had been waiting for her to ask. Turns out he was only angry the last time because she asked to go with Little Jia alone. Wait, it couldn't be partially because he was jealous, could it?
"Wanwan, for Little Jia's safety, she doesn't go anywhere without me. Many people don't even know of her existence yet, and I only take her to places with excellent security."
She understood his reasoning. Even she was scared that something could go wrong if Little Jia's security was taken lightly.
"So we're going?" she asked for confirmation.
"Mmh, let's eat breakfast first." he said as he swept her off the ground.
"Hey, the door is not that way." he was carrying her towards his bed instead of the door.
"I know. Can't I have you for breakfast?"
Wan Jia sighed. She had delivered herself right into his hands. Who could she blame?
...
The mother and daughter practically ate at the speed of lighting before flying off to find dresses to wear. Lu Aotian was helpless. If he really didn't let them go, those two would bite him to death.
In Little Jia's room.
"Little miss, which dress would you like to wear?" the nanny asked.
The little miss was quite picky with her clothes as well and would not let anyone choose for her what to wear. What she wore depended on her mood although she basically loved all her clothes.
"The same color as Mommy." she said.
"What color is your Mommy wearing?"
"I don't know."
The nanny was at a loss. How was she supposed to know such a thing as the color someone else was wearing without seeing them? She couldn't just knock on her door and ask...
"Then how about we wait for her to finish dressing up first?" she suggested. Good thing the little girl complied.
After the quickest of showers, Wan Jia almost tore down the whole closet just trying to find the right outfit. Since they had just confessed to each other, this would be like their first date. As for what their relationship would be, she would let nature take its course.
She tried on all the latest dresses but still couldn't feel beautiful in them. She was frustrated. Just what was a girl supposed to wear when going to such a place as the theme park but still look dashing enough to make her man glue his eyes onto her all day?
Unknowingly, two hours had passed.
"Is Mommy not done yet?" Little Jia complained to her nanny.
"Little miss, let's wait a little longer." she said nervously.
You're not the right person to complain, she sighed in her heart. For special occassions, this little girl could try on dresses for half a day and if none of them satisfied her, she would ask her father to get her new ones on the spot. The servants were used to it.
Lu Aotian, on the other hand, was sorting out documents in his study room. Apparently, he already predicted those two would take at least three hours.
