"What's that, Khrystal? You're so stupid! You're just going to wash my clothes. You haven't done it properly yet!" Annoyed, John threw at her the clothes she had washed the day before. Apart from the holes, the clothes have lost their former brightness, so she can't blame him for that reaction.
She doesn't know what to accomplish, so she taught him to wash his clothes. She wanted her to be pleased as he was somehow because she always noticed the mistakes she was doing.
She grew up to be a princess who fulfills everything she wants, so she doesn't know even simple housework because they have many housemates who do all the work.
"So-sorry I didn't mean to," Khrystal replied tearfully to John as she hugged the clothes in her arms.
"I don't know what to do with you! Why did I agree to marry a woman I don't know and I don't love!" He said loudly, then without looking back he came out of my room.
Maybe he'll go to the bar again for a drink. Khrystal felt that maybe John was doing that to avoid her. They get married, but only in the eyes of people who know them.
It was still early in the morning, but his head immediately heated because of what I had done wrong. She wiped the tears that had accumulated in her eyes and cheeks, then decided to sit on the end of the bed. She was just dumbfounded, staring at the side of the wall while thinking things through. She taught that fixed marriage did not longer exist because it was the year 2000, but because she was married to John, she proved that it still exists.
When she turned eighteen, June 16, 2000—her birthday, her daddy correctly announced three days from now about her marriage.
I taught it was a happy day because it was her 18th birthday, but it was replaced by sadness and grief. She wanted to get lost that day, but half of her guests were her classmates and friends, so she just didn't do it and she was also very grateful to her daddy because it was he who raised her.
She would marry a man with puffy brown eyes, wavy hair, mixed skin, and a handsome physique.
All she knew was that his daddy had just met him at a business meeting he went to in London a month ago and his daddy's friend was his father. She did not know what she was taught to marry him: immediately because the company was not losing money.
As unica hija, her Daddy Drix provided what I needed. Because Mommy Felicity died of stage 4 breast cancer. She has taken care of and raised her since she was five years old. Because of his daddy's great love for her mother, she never taught of getting married.
She doesn't feel bad for her daddy because of his decision to marry her to John. But ever since they got married and together, she had experienced hearing some hurtful words, which she could not quite imagine a man like her, who looked handsome and a person could do. So little by little, anger welled up in her heart for such a deception.
She is back in daydreaming because she remembers the promise to repay John for what he had done to her months ago since we were married.
She always hears the words of a useless woman, bad luck, and sometimes he can't even look at her, which adds to her resentment here. Since the wedding and they have been together in her house, nothing has shown that her husband is nice to her. She has not uttered profanity, but for him, she will do how to be a stubborn and bitchy partner.
If before she was crying, now she felt anxious because of what he would do in retaliation. "I will give whatever you want my beastly partner," I said sarcastically, and then stood up.
She slowly walked towards his room. When she came to the opposite door, she knocked to let it know she was outside.
She heard John stepping from inside, so she prepared, the wide smile on her lips while holding the clothes she had thrown away earlier. She could see his face darken when he saw her, then gradually it was replaced by astonishment.
"What do you want?" Annoyed John asked him.
"Nothing! I just want to give you this," she said, smiling while throwing away the clothes she was carrying. She saw him frowning and shuddering as he let the clothes on his shoulder fall to the floor.
"Why? Are you the only one who has the right to throw clothes?" She asked cynically. "I will no longer allow you to hurt me and say hurtful words." Khrystal had one hand on her waist while the other was on the door. She just stared at him as it watched his every move.
"Are you done with your speech, my wife?" He asked with a smile as if he wanted to tease her.
"Do I have anything else to say? Looks like there's nothing left, so goodbye." Khrystal turned to go back to her room, but she suddenly remembered something, so she faced John again.
"I just want to answer what you told me before. I'm not a fool because if I'm a fool, you're more stupid because you married a fool like me. The kind, understanding, crying and patient Khrystal Kyenn, who became your wife, will never be oppressed again by someone like you. So all the hurtful words you say to me, I will return to you goodbye. "
She quickly turned around and walked with her head held high back into the room. She closed the door immediately upon entering. Khrystal suddenly sat down on the floor because of the tightness she felt earlier while facing it.
In the few months, they have been married, they have never even been able to talk and look at each other for a long time without quarreling. Because of the speed of events when her daddy married them in church, she can no longer remember how many times he saw her face up close without it frowning or being serious.
Later, she heard the car pull away. John is about to join the company as president of Fuentebella Real Estate, which was formerly managed by his daddy. Khrystal sighed at the thought that her parents had just left her to a stranger.
She decided to go to the kitchen to eat breakfast. Every morning, she is always the only one eating at the dinner table, because Beast leaves the house early. It's a good thing that she somehow has a housemate that she can talk to because if she doesn't, she might go wild because she's the only one in the house with Beast.
"Ma'am Khrystal, we already served your breakfast," Manang Letty greeted her while wiping her hand on her apron.
"Thank you for the food," she replied with a smile. "Have you eaten yet? Come with me—after all, I'm the only one eating."
"Thank you Khrystal, but I've already eaten before. Eat there. I'll leave you first because I'll be watering the plants outside. Just call me when you need anything," manang explained before leaving.
She started to make scrambled eggs, bacon, and rice, then she put them on the plate prepared by manang. Khrystal just focused her heart and mind on what she was eating. Even now, she can feel free.
"Daddy, why did you entrust me to such a heartless man? What was on your mind and you made me marry him?" She asked sadly in her mind, but up to this day was still unanswered. Every time he tries to find out the reason for his daddy, he suddenly changes the subject or there is always someone talking to him on the cellphone.
She then felt that her daddy was hiding something from her that she taught she needed to know.
