It was real. He was really still alive. And… she had cried all over him.
Dawn blushed a little as she peeled back, disentangling herself from her husband's sleeping form. She didn't mind so much Arrion seeing her tears. It was not the first time. But still, it was a bit embarrassing that she had cried that much.
She stared down at his sleeping body. He looked so peaceful, so relaxed. Lips lightly curled up, as if he was having a pleasant dream. His arms around her in a rather comfortable position. She felt that this was rather nice.
Leaning into him, she softly pressed a kiss to his smile. Then another. As she went to do it for a third time, his hands gave her waist a squeeze, and he deepened her kiss on her.
"Morning, dove." He sat up, pulling her into his lap and dropping his head on her shoulder. Dawn smiled at him. Here he went again – acting all clingy to her. And she loved every minute of it.
More than she cared to admit. Though, she probably needed to be honest with him with how she felt. Of course, he had to know by now… but still. She should say it to him.
As she was thinking about it, her husband kissed her jawline. Not just once but traveling up it to her ear. She couldn't help but giggle at the feeling. She moved her head, stopping him from what he was doing and sealed his lips in a kiss.
He kissed her back, matching her rhythm.
She ended up having to break off the kiss as she was barely thinking straight anymore. As she tried to catch her breath, Arrion leaned forward, just laying his forehead against hers. He had a broad smile all over his face, and his eyes were lit up.
She smiled at him, a sweeter smile than she had perhaps ever gave to anyone. "Hey, Arrion."
"Hmm?" He seemed a bit distracted, staring straight at her. It would have been unnerving if she had not already been so used to it.
"I really do love you, you know?" She bit her lip, "I'm sorry about-"
He kissed her again. Just a soft peck, before pulling away, "In the past. All in the past. I wasn't even going to make you say it… though it did give me quite the thrill."
His impish grin left her with no doubt he was slightly teasing her. Especially with that last bit. But she was more than happy to be teased if it was by him. Just to see that familiar look of mischief in his eyes.
So, she just caressed his cheek, making him look at her a bit strangely before grinning even bigger.
Dawn found herself ready to go home. She wanted to take her husband back to Lumna and get back to their loving home. Though, she found herself at the same time thinking, that really home was just wherever he was.
