"Are you alright? Are you all alone? Why don't you come with me?"
Laughter, filled with warmth, "You are just like a little lost kitten, you know? I think all you need is someone to actually care about you. You can stay here as long as you like."
"You…are you leaving? I.. could you stay? I'll watch after you. I-I've grown terribly fond of you."
"Marry me. I need to take a queen, at least that is what my advisors are telling me. And you want a home, right? I can see it in your eyes every time you think no one is watching. It will be a win-win."
"Come here. I want to cuddle."
"What do you want for your birthday. I'll give you anything you want, even if you want me to wrap myself up with a bow for your convenience."
"You're so beautiful… I hope our kids take after you."
"I think I love you… no, I know I love you. And I think it's been that way for a very long time."
"How was your day, my dearest queen?"
"Come on, I want to show you something!...See, isn't it beautiful? Not as beautiful as you, but then nothing is."
"When you blush like that… I almost think you might like me too, but that might just be wishful thinking."
"Mmm… you're cute when you're angry, but please forgive me…I didn't mean to upset you."
"Kitten, put your claws up. You should know by now that nothing you say will ever drive me away. I'm a stubborn fool and I know it, but rest assured that I am your stubborn fool… whether you like it or not"
"What do you mean that I am being clingy? How can I keep from hugging you when you are just so a-dor-a-ble! Don't you know that things that are cute always gets hugs?...Hey! I did not just prove your point and I am not childish!"
"…will you ever come to love me?"
Dawn felt tears streaming down her face as memories swam across her mind. And it hit her like a ton of bricks the realization of why she had really stayed with him. It was not for a home… it was for a home with him.
She had actually fallen in love with that idiot….
And she had not even realized it until he was dead….
Anguished she let out another scream. Her tears made it hard for her to see. Or maybe it was the strange white light that seemed to be all around her.
She blinked swiftly, the light fading. She needed to get vengeance for his death. It was all she could do.
The two assassins were on the ground, terrible burns all over their bodies. They were definitely dead. The top of the wall had also melted.
Dawn paused, remembering the white light. She knew what must have happened. She hardly cared that her sun powers had been more powerful than ever before.
There was only one thought she spared it. Seems like she was wrong…
Love did not make her weaker but stronger.
