"They did it. They obliterated the dragons..." Atalante said in astonishment as she witnessed the final breath of the last of the 9 dragons. "It's really incredible that it only took a few of them to bring down 9 powerful dragons."
"Reilaea takes pride of the adventurers of our Kingdom." Edle responds to Atalante as he, too witnessed the last of the dragon's death in the disrance. "Our knights may have dwindled in strength, but we have a number of powerful people who are willing to use their power for the sake of Reilaea. The people from another land calls them adventurers. In here, we call them Heroes."
...
"Who are they?" Christa asks herself the identity of the five unknown people that killed the last dragon.
She watch the dragon fall on the ground with its back ripped open by the one who wields the axe that can grow in size.
"Are you alright?"
Christa hears the young man that dealt the final blow to the head of the monster, asking her of her well being.
"Yeah, thank you." Christa gave a sincere reply to the swordsman.
The death of the last dragon created a buzz on the people that witnessed its last moments.
"They killed the dragon."
"Yeah. It looks more like a gruisome, cruel death, but..."
"...At the very least, the threat of the dragons are no more!"
"That's right! We're safe!"
Finally, after the terror that the appearance of the dragons brought to the people of Reilaea have vanished, everyone's head were all held high as the presence of Sieghart, Christa and the others gives them a light of hope against the sudden attack of the treacherous Kruule Kingdom.
At the same time it was all happening, another great news arrives from the southern and western district of the capital.
"Everyone! Everyone!" A knight comes running at the people in the town square. "This is incredible! The generals and other higher ups of Kruule were all seen retreating from the battlefield. And just now, the last of the enemies were all defeated and captured. It's the victory for Reilaea!"
As the news of Kruule turning back away from the Kingdom spreads to everyone, the people couldn't hide the unmeasurable joy the words of the knight has brought to them.
The voice of the people of Reilaea screaming and crying as the events ended were much more louder than celebrating the birth of the Prince.
...
Shorty after, as the ones who have fought the 9 dragons and the ones who retreated from the battlefield are taking a rest, the commanders and captains as well as the other knights were marching down towards the town square.
"The knights...!"
"Help those who are carrying the wounded!"
The civilians and the others who aren't occupied eagerly welcomes the arrival of the knights who kept the enemies at bay, helping the ones carrying the injured to the ones that can treat them.
"Everyone! Thank you for protecting the Kingdom!"
"Yeah! If it weren't for you, the Kingdom may have fallen."
"The Kingdom is proud to have all of you as a knight!"
"Keep it up!"
The recognition they got from the people of Reilaea that they protected have brought a smile to their faces. Not only they returned alive and victorious, they were able to show their bravery and loyalty for their Kingdom.
At one point, the commander that mustered his courage to speak for everyone on Sieghart approaches the adventurer.
"Knight commander Tedric. It's good to see you doing well." Sieghart spoke to the commander that approached him.
The commander takes off the helmet that hides his face as he responds to Sieghart, "Thank you. I'm glad to see you doing good on your end. We witnessed everything unfold from afar. How the 9 dragons were all taken down. Especially that girl."
The commander refers to Christa, the girl he is looking at, talking to the man named Ronan. Jinrah joins in into their conversation.
"That girl is quite insane, huh? We caught a glimpse of how she sky rocketed right towards the top of the royal plateau. Actually we could barely see her in the distance, if it's not on her flames, we wouldn't see her at all." Jinrah talks to them about Christa that suddenly jumps and flies towards the royal castle. The moment where she saved Edle and the others against the dragon that threatens them.
He continues to speak. "Not only that. That time she punched the other dragon away from Sieghart at such a great strength... It's almost like her fist are way stronger than mine. It's scary!"
"Yeah. We saw how that dragon bombarded the land outside the walls of Reilaea and hits the number of the knights of Kruule. That might be one of the reasons why they all decided to retreat." Commander Tedric added to Jinrah's statement.
"Still, there's no way to tell Christa's strength just because we saw a glimpse of her fighting. She could be stronger than Jinrah. Or even me."
"Y-you're kidding, right?" Jinrah's eyes looks at Sieghart with terror.
"So you know her, huh, Sieghart?" Tedric asks Sieghart.
"Yeah. Everyone knows her as the Crimson Eye. She looks just like any normal adventurer, but her identity is quite mysterious. I'm actually worried how I'm going to fight her in a duel once the day comes."
Sieghart's response to Tedric sparks another question from the commander.
"Duel? Did she challenged you to a duel? That girl?"
"More or less."
"Amazing. Looks like beauty and strength aren't all she has, huh? Surely you will not go serious on her, right?"
"Actually I'm afraid she might take me down before long in a fight."
"Are you serious?" Commander Tedric laughs hysterically at Sieghart. "Jokes aside. I really am grateful that you and the other adventurers lent us your strength. You're all a great help than any of us. In behalf of the knights that fought together with us, I thank you, heroes of Reilaea." Tedric gave his sincere gratitude towards Sieghart as well as the other adventurers.
"No, it's not just us."
"Huh?"
But, Sieghart quickly turns down his thanks. Sieghart believed that it's not just the adventurers. The knights also took a big part in defending the city.
"It's not just us. It's you. Despite knowing your inferiority, your limits, you stood up and spoke for everyone who couldn't even look at me in the eyes. Your words is the one that gets everyone's heads up. At that moment, you're the one who they look up to."
Tedric reminds him of that moment when he stood up to Sieghart for looking down on them, the knights of Reilaea.
"I may have taken part of carrying out orders. But in the end, you're the one that lead the knights and adventurers into battle. You're the one that brought victory to Reilaea, Tedric."
