Christa's head turned towards the roof of the royal castle. There, her eyes met Celestine's. And as if time slowed down for the two of them, Christa and Celestine glared at each other.
The flow of time shortly goes back to normal, with a single kick through its head, Christa sends the dragon far from what the eyes can see through the sky.
The gate that was created are slowly shrinking. The princess of Kruule's face is beaming with a wide smile of astonishment as she witnessed one of her tamed beasts being blown away with a single strike. Celestine jumps backward to the gate, as if she was falling towards it.
Christa were quite a distance away from her. But with a split second of fluttering her eyes, the girl with her foot covered in flames appeared right before Celestine.
Christa swings her blazing leg towards the princess, but she was late to strike by a milisecond as the princess of Kruule dives in to the gate and disappears along with it.
"Ah..."
"Christa...!"
Christa sees Edle after he calls her name. The girl with the crimson red eyes asks the Prince and the others, "Are all of you all right?"
"Y-Yeah!"
Atalante nodded as a response to Christa while Ordeus did the same. Kaien follows up and responded, "Yeah."
Christa lets out a short sigh of relief before descending down to the roof of the castle.
Atalante questions Edle of the girl's identity. "Who is she?"
Edle continues to look intently at the girl on top of the castle. "Christa Scarletblood... an adventurer..."
She walks to the southern edge of the top of the royal castle and looks down on the southern part of the central district.
"I hope I didn't hit anyone after that..."
At the southern part of the royal castle, at the town square where people who are injured and wounded from battle are being treated, as well as the others who remained unconscious...
"Impossible..."
"She jumped from here to the royal plateu in a second...?"
"A single leap to the sky created this giant crater?!"
"Is this how powerful these young adventurers are these days...?"
The people approaches the giant crater from the concrete area where Christa takes off. They were utterly amazed and also terrified about how it happened. That includes Selene who talked to Christa before she goes off.
"Christa..."
Selene turns around and took a gaze on top of the royal plateau where she saw Christa went. Incidentally, the remaining dragons skimming through the skies of Reilaea while burning everything they please caught her attention.
The people in the town square quickly realized that they were in a dire situation as they have no place to go to because of the flying monsters circling around them.
"What do we do?!"
"Everyone might die before the ones who can fight a monster that can fight an emerald and diamond adventurer could get rid of them all!"
"Hey, look!"
"It's coming towards us!"
While they were panicking, one of the dragons sees the crowd of people from the town square and decides to go for them.
"Jinrah! Throw me!"
But just like a true hero, the two of the five strongest adventurers in Reilaea arrives in time.
"Leave it to me!"
Jinrah picks up the speed to go past Sieghart. Reaching the right position, Jinrah stops and takes a stance as though he's going to throw his fist into the descending dragon.
"Martial Arts: Iron Fist!"
Jinrah focuses his strength on his fist. Making it glow with light.
"We're not gonna let you hurt these people!"
Sieghart leaped towards Jinrah. One of his feet landed right on his fist.
"Fly! Catapult Punch!"
With a powerful swing of his punch, Jinrah sends Sieghart up towards the dragon. Everyone from the town square sees the Demon Slayer rocketing towards the beast. But the beast itself hasn't noticed him as it continue to descend to the crowd.
"It's been a while since you last ate..."
Soaring through the skies with great speed, Sieghart pulls the giant black sword behind him. The moment he does, it began to emit flows of dark energy. Similar to the flow of mana and flames.
"It's a giant flying lizard! Enjoy your meal!"
Sieghart sliced one of the black dragon's wings. The dragon shrieks in pain as it loses it's balance with flight. Completely losing its attention on the humans.
"I-It loses its balance. But..."
"It's still falling towards us."
Despite losing it's ability to fly, it is still falling right before the people in the town square.
"I won't let that happen!"
Jinrah jumps on one of the buildings before springing directly to the falling dragon.
"Get back there!"
Jinrah throws another powerful punch right in the dragon's belly, sending it upward where Sieghart is about to fall.
"Thank you, Jinrah!"
The dragon sees Sieghart falling right on top of itself. Followed by it's angered roar, the dragon fires three breath of fire to Sieghart. But the demon slayer easily erased it all by a single swing of his giant sword, one after another.
With no way to avoid the falling tip of the giant black blade. Sieghart thrusts his sword right on the beast's head. Initially killing the dragon in that very second.
The sword can be seen sucking the blood around it and inside the head of the dragon. What's more, the dark aura covering the sword began to engulf the entire body of the falling dead beast. But shortly after, it returned to the sword as if it took something from the dead monster.
Sieghart pulls his giant black sword out of the dragon's head. Leaving it fall to the ground, knowing that Jinrah is down there to catch it.
Jinrah did what Sieghart expected as he catches the dead body of the dragon. Afterwards, he picked the area in the town square where people aren't gathered and safely descends down.
"All right! That's 2 down!"
Jinrah effortlessly puts down the corpse of the black dragon. The people were amazed by him doing so.
"Ooh!!"
"That's one of the five strongest and hero of Reilaea! The Iron Fist: Jinrah!"
"Yes! That's me!" Jinrah gestured and points his thumb onto himself.
"And the one that dealt the final blow...!"
The crowd looks up and marvels on the strongest adventurer.
"It's Sieghart!"
"The Demon Slayer!"
"Fine, fine! I'll let you call me that for today."
Jinrah looked up and noticed a dragon heading straight for Sieghart as he slowly falls down.
"Sieghart, look out!"
The dragon let out an angered roar. Sieghart noticed it. But he has no control over himself in the air, he had no choice but to take the giant monster's wide open mouth.
"Bring it on!"
"Tracking Arrow."
A tiny beam of red light strucked one of the dragon's eyes. Blinding its one eye and disorienting its vision.
"That's..."
"What are you doing, trying to send yourself up into the sky full of hungry dragons without an ability to fly?!"
Sieghart hears the voice of Lira as his feet touches the flow of the wind as if it was the ground.
"Lira, huh? I thought you'd be busy getting rid of the enemies marching towards us."
Lira points her thumb back into the direction of the southern district. "David and I mopped up a lot of them until the commanders and captain came over and took the lead. Then we heard the loud roar of these lizards flying around us, then they told us both to go."
While the two were conversing in the air, the dragon lets out a loud cry, calling the other dragons who are burning every building and establishments they see around the city.
"That was a pretty loud, you damn lizard."
David aims his giant bow and arrow of light to the dragon's heart.
"Go sleep."
David released the giant arrow and pierced through the dragon's heart. The giant arrow goes into the sky and disappeared like a shooting star.
The crowd from around the city watched the amazing spectacle over the skies. The people from the town square could not help but scream the name of David.
"Ooh!!"
"There's no doubt! It's the bow and arrow that can pierce through the skies!"
"Yeah! It's the Shooting Star, David!"
"Look at him, taking the chance to show off. He could have incinerated that dragon instead."
Lira ranted about David. While she does, she uses her ability to manipulate the air and encircle the dead dragon, sending it downward to the same place the other corpse of the dragon was placed.
Lira and Sieghart landed on ground afterwards.
"Hey, that young looking elven lady..."
"She's one of the Wind Runners, one of the strongest tribes in the country of Meleia!"
"That's right, praise me, too!"
"Talk about showing off..." Sieghart looks at Lira with a disgusted face.
Lira seemed to have caught some of the people's attention through her presence.
"The elven woman with an undeveloped bosom..."
"What did you say?! Do you want to get sucked up by a cyclone?!"
"Calm down!"
She did get their attention. But in an odd way.
...
Back at the top of the royal castle, Christa has the clear view of the dragons being drawn right at the top of the town square.
"That cry must have attracted those remaining 6 dragons." Said, Christa as she sees 2 of the 6 remaining dragons went passed the royal castle.
"Where are they going?"
"That cry of the dragon must have been a call for help and all 6 of them are responding to it."
"They're going right straight to the town square?" Atalante mentioned.
"Well then, I'll see you around, Prince of Reilaea."
When Edle looked at the spot where Christa was standing, the girl had already jumped down off the castle before flying to the same location the dragons from all directions are heading.
"Christa...!"
Edle and Atalante watched her go further away from them.
The crowd and four of Sieghart's party were alerted by the furious roar of the 6 remaining dragons that are approaching them.
"They're coming, alright!" Jinrah remarked.
"Isn't that a good thing? We can take them all out in one spot." David responded in a dead tone as he goes for the high ground on one of the buildings once again.
"I hate the way your tone changes when you're in a fight, David!"
Sieghart instills Lira to make the three of them float in the air, "Leave him, Lira. Make us fly."
"Fine, fine."
Lira creates a giant magic circle below the three of them. Then, a surge of wind began flowing under their feet.
"The wind is my domain. With my single command, everyone shall grasp the air under their feet."
The three of them springs forth upward.
"Wind Walk!"
"All right!"
Jinrah began jumping in excitement as if he was jumping from the ground.
"It's not just the ability to walk and run through the air, I can also feel my body lighter!"
"Here they come!"
4 dragons are arriving a little earlier than the others. One of them sees Sieghart, Jinrah and Lira floating in mid-air and began to shoot its breath of fire.
Lira goes forward to intercept the attack with a defensive ability.
"Wind Wall!"
Lira's globe of Wind Wall protects them from the fire breath of the black dragon. At the same time the fire stopped and the Wind Wall dissipated, Jinrah dashes through the skies towards the dragon with great speed due to the effects of Lira's Wind Walk.
"Martial Arts: Great Strengthening!"
The beast and Jinrah goes against each other. The dragon opens its mouth, aiming to eat the man whole. However, with his more nimble movements, Jinrah avoids the dragon by going right below it.
Seeing an opening from under the dragon's open body, Jinrah clasp his right fist, focusing his strength into it once again.
"You're mine! Bone Crash!"
Jinrah released his fist onto the dragon's belly, his powerful punch did not just twist its bare under skin, its bones were also crushed by his attack.
"Now fall!"
Jinrah quickly circles on top of the dragon and kicks it somewhere down the city.
"Now then, I'll go ahead." Sieghart spoke to Lira as he went on his way to confront one of the dragons.
"Yeah, I'll take care of this one."
Lira referred to one of the dragons who are approaching her. She stopped the approaching monster by hitting it with another Wind Wall. The beast was stunned after hitting its head to a hardened wall of air.
"Dance for me, giant lizard."
A sphere of wind began to materialize around the stunned the dragon.
"Piercing Wind Sphere!"
As it takes its full spherical form, it began to accelerate circling. Strong enough to leave sharp deep cuts from the hard scales of the dragon while also dragging it all around inside the circle.
For a quick five seconds, the dragon was being pulverized all around the sphere while also receiving more than nine hundred grave wounds all over its body. From its tail, to its head, not a single part of the monster was left uncut by the killer wind sphere. It almost like it received a full body trim.
"Then, that one is mine." David had his eyes on another dragon seemingly coming towards Sieghart.
"Release your power, Austrialis."
Calling the name of his weapon, the bow and arrow become imbued with light and grows in size. The bow is two times larger than David and the arrow is almost the size as him.
He aims his mana imbued weapon at the monster. After calculating the right angle and the speed of the dragon flying, David released the arrow from his grasp.
"Meteor Strike!"
The gigantic arrow launched through the air, and pierced through the giant dragon's body right through its heart. The arrow goes far off in the dark sky before exploding itself. The explosion looked like it came from a giant colorful fireworks display at its climax.
The people all around the city of Reilaea, as well as the soldiers who are in battle were utterly amazed by the performance of the three powerful adventurers.
"Hm. They did it. Now it's my turn."
Sieghart charges forward to another one of the dragons. His blade began emitting with dark flow of energy once again.
"This is the final act!"
The dragons shoots its breath of fire towards Sieghart. But he easily went through the scorching flames unscathed. The monster continue to go forward despite its ineffective fiery breath.
The dragon's mouth, hungry for revenge for its fallen brothers, against Sieghart's giant black sword.
"Soul Exile!"
Sieghart swings his blade twice in a vertical angle. In a split second, the two of them stopped at one point. But, only Sieghart showed movement afterwards.
The dragon did not received any fatal scar in its body as Sieghart's sword was not meant to inflict damage to the dragon's body. Rather, the sword's purpose is to drag out the soul of the dragon and feasts on it.
The dragon died without feeling pain.
"That's more than enough of an appetizer."
Lira, Jinrah and David watch Sieghart attempting to put his sword on the scabbard on his back.
But suddenly, his hand stopped right when the tip of his giant black blade touches the scabbard. It's like the sword have a life of its own, the giant black blade of Sieghart refused to be put back on its cover and is overpowering its wielder's arm.
"You damn little..."
"Sieghart...?!" Lira spoke in worry as he gaze onto Sieghart struggling over the giant sword that is seemingly trying to reach itself to the falling corpse of the dragon.
"Damn you... Did you forget that I still own you...?!"
The struggle continues as he holds the sword with both his hands. Holding it tight and not letting it go.
"I am... your wielder! And you'll listen to what I say till my last breath...!"
Soon after a hard struggle, Sieghart managed to slowly put his sword back in his scabbard. Sieghart let out a sigh of relief after that. The others were relieved as well.
However, their attention were all into Sieghart. They forgot about the two remaining dragons coming from the north. Looking angry and hungry for revenge for their fallen family.
"Hey! There are two more coming!"
"What?!"
If not for one of the civilian who sees the approaching monsters, they wouldn't notice it until Sieghart is eaten by either one of them. Still, the party leader reacted a little late and he just took his sword back in its scabbard after its odd act not long ago.
Lira is quite far to cast a Wind Wall in range, Jinrah won't be able to reach Sieghart in time, and David is just about to replenish his giant arrow.
Sieghart have no choice but to draw his sword that doesn't seem to get along with him once again. He extends his hand into the grip, in an attempt to draw the blade.
But, he stopped his arm as he sensed a presence coming right behind the dragons with incredible speed. And from the ground, coming from a certain direction, a part of the road becomes covered in ice and keeps on extending further towards the direction of the remaining two dragons.
In the far distance, a glimpse of fire can be seen. Until it slowly becomes more visible as its wielder slowly reveals itself. The ice continues to march from the road and the buildings, eventually reaching near the town square where the people can see it crawling towards them.
Towards the sky, Christa is skimming through the skies faster than what the eyes can see. With her scorching fist, she punches the dragon away from Sieghart. And from the ground, Eileen's towering pillar of sharp ice impales the other.
