I had no idea what came over me, perhaps remembering my times in ODA and as a protector of the weak made me act, after that scene I wanted to leave, however this man, wouldn't let me leave and insisted I ate dinner with his family, so not wanting to seem arrogant or rude I accepted and offered to pay, he shot me down immediately and caved and sat and ordered some mead and some simple beef. "So what's your name sir?" I sat up and realised the old man asked my name, I replied with a curt "The northern fury sir". I heard everyone in the room gasp. I wasn't suprised considering I was near my home and I had gathered a large reputation from war. After some dinner and drinks and telling of stories the old man asked where I was off too. I turned around and replied " I swore an oath to protect my friends, family, and those who couldn't protect themselves, I intend to keep it. I gave the little girl some gold and left the building, I put my cloak away and continued walking down the snow covered road, I realized the world was covered in darkness, and I was the light to dispel it.
