"Hey, Man," Ann greeted. "Hey, Dude," Bella greeted back. "What's up?" Ann asked, trying to make conversation. "Nothing much. I just came inside because I was climbing a tree. What are you doing?" The other asked.

"Chillin' while reading," Ann laughed. Bella just nodded, the awkward silence taking over again. Ann started chuckling, gaining the attention of other. "What is it?" She asked.

"I accidentally wrote LIL instead of LOL," Ann laughed. Her laughing then abruptly stopped. "Leon is listening?" She gasped. "Okay then." Bella said awkwardly.

"I don't know," Ann sighed. "I didn't notice," she replied. "Shh, he might hear you. He can't know we know." She continued in a nervous voice, her attitude changing in a milo second.

"I'm debating whether or not you're kidding, and I'm going to go with kidding," Bella mumbled. "Yeah, of course I'm kidding...," Ann trailed off as she glanced around the room. Bella nodded, as she also looked around the room. "We're having a normal conversation, and we have no idea about a person listening to us," Ann laughed awkwardly, noticing a red flash of light come from the bookcase. "You're exactly right," her friend replied, seeing a weird shadow coming from the window.

"So, um, how are you?" The other asked, shaking with fear as she notices him. Bella did not reply as the closet door slowly opens. "Well, I'm doing great! Thanks for asking," Ann almost shouted as her trembling increased.

They both noticed a bloodshot eye in the crack of the open door. "I know all," it's gravely voice said before the door slammed shut. "Hello?" Bella's voice broke. Ann slapped her arm in a panicked manner.

"What was that for?" Bella asked, looking 99% confused and 1% angry. "Don't try talking to... it," the other whispered. "Okay?" She looked towards the door and understood. "Follow me," Ann whispered, walking towards the kitchen door.

"O-kay," she repeated, getting up at a normal pace and follows the other shortly behind. Ann slowly opens the door and walks out. "So..., are you hungry?" She asked, looking up into a corner for a split second. "Yeah, what is there to eat?" She replied, also giving an unnoticeable glance towards the corner.

"Um," Ann paused, opening the cabinet doors. "Crackers..., peanut butter..., and something I'm not familiar with," she listed, grabbing the unknown item to show to Bella. "Oh, um, cool.... Where are the spoons?" Bella asked as she set the unknown object onto the counter.

"In that drawer," Ann informed, pointing towards a drawer. She then closed the cabinets after sitting the peanut butter and crackers on the counter. "Oh, okay," the other said as she walked towards the drawer and opens it. She grabs a spoon but drops it on the floor by accident. "Oh, sorry," Bella panics while picking up the spoon.

She quickly looks up at the corner again. The girls then hear heavy breathing coming from the corner. "It's quite alright!" Ann stuttered, opening the jar of peanut butter. "You know, I'll just have the, um, other stuff," bella says before opening the jar and seeing some weird unknown stuff she's no longer willing to try.

She then put the lid back on and sat it down on the counter again. "Eh, okay then?" Ann questioned, noticing her friend's uneasy face while she starts putting the things back up. "I'm not that hungry," she sighed. "Oh, same," Bella nervously laughed, trying to look more normal and nonchalant.

"Okay, so, what do you want to do now?" Ann broke the silence, bouncing on her heels in an anxious manner. "I, I don't know," Bella failed to act normal in any way. Suddenly all of the doors that led into the kitchen slammed open. "Oh... my... gosh," she mumbled.

"Run!" Bella commanded her friend, following her natural instincts. "I, I can see it! I see the front door!" Ann yelled, following Bella the best she could.

"My side is hurting!" Bella panted, running as fast as humanly possible. "Run fast!" Ann commanded. Right before they made it to the door, everything went dark. "No!" Bella screamed.

They were very scared in the darkness. "Wh, what's happening?" Ann whispered, hearing the sound of an evil laughter all around her. "Where are you?" She shouted. There was no answer as she started shaking. Something then touched her face.

"Help!" Bella shouted, her eyes started to flicker slowly. All she knew at that moment was pain. "What's wrong?" Ann asked as a warm liquid slid off of her face. She didn't care though. She finally got a response from her close friend.

"I think I'm really, really hurt. All I can see is a small light, but it's getting brighter," Bella shivered. "I, I see it too," Ann replied, feeling something sharp glide across her back. She then fell to her knees in pain as she screamed. "All I can see is light and..., something else," Bella managed to say. She started crawling on the ground while shivering. It hurt her to move at all.

"No! Don't get closer!" Ann yelled, realizing what the figure was. "Get over here," she demanded in a much weaker voice as she forced herself into a corner. "I can't move," Bella cried out as she laid on the floor. Her breaths moving slowly.

Ann watched as the figure got closer to Bella. She couldn't just let it take her. She looked around the room frantically for something to use. Her eyes finally laid upon a pipe not too far away from her. She could hear Bella whimpering.

Ann grasped the pipe after wobbling to her feet. The creature finally notices her. It made a horrific noise as it sprinted towards her, completely forgetting about Bella. Ann barely managed to hit it, but she did and the lights flickered back on. Bella laid on the floor shivering as she feels a rushing pool of warmth.

"We have to hurry," Ann panted, leaning against the wall. "But... I.. can't... move," Bella forced out. "I'm trying, okay!" Ann cried out in anger. She then wobbled to a cabinet in search of finding a first aid kit.

Ann finally found it and rushed back to her dying companion. At this point, Bella's barely even moving. Ann opened the kit and got to work. "Where, where is it?" Bella asked, flinching as the needle pierced her skin.

"I don't know," Ann honestly replied, shortly pausing her work to look around the room. "But I know it will be back," she dryly chuckled.  "When? What was it?" Bella asked, thinking about how they needed to leave before it comes back and finished them off.

"Soon..., and that was the demon named Leon," Ann sighed, finishing off her stitching work. "How do you know?" Bella asked another question, knowing she should be more surprised. "I've been hunting that thing for months..." She trailed off, remembering all of the failed attempts of killing Leon.

"I mean, I knew something was here but did you know it was here?" Bella pondered, wondering if her supposedly friend lied to her. "No, no I didn't...," Ann looked away in embarrassment after finishing up the bandages. "You knew?!" Bella shouted in anger.

"No, I didn't! I thought it was in the next town over," Ann sighed, backing away from her friend slowly in fear. "Still, you should have told me earlier. Maybe I would have been prepared and would not have nearly got killed," Bella reasoned, trying to understand why Ann didn't tell her anything about this. "I, I," Ann was at a loss of words.

"Sorry," Ann mustered up, moving back towards Bella. Bella in return picked up the pipe and forced herself off of the ground. "Let's kill this demon once and for all!" Bella smiled. "Yeah," Ann replied, her soul filling with a new found determination. "What will we need?" The other asked.

"Chalk, paint, or any other material we can use for writing," Ann answered as she scavenged the drawers and cabinets for salt. Bella nodded before joining in to find what she needed. "Found it," Ann smiled, as she yanked out a large container of salt from a random cabinet. "Found it yet?" She asked as she looked over at Bella.

"I found some chalk, but will it be enough?" Bella sighed, as she stated searching quicker. "That chalk will do just fine," Ann answered, walking over to her and taking the chalk. "Is that all?" Bella asked, wondering about what else they might need.

"No..., take this and go find my book, I left it upstairs. I don't think you'll need to worry though, just stay away from anything that looks like it might be an exit," Ann ordered, handing Bella some salt. "Okay," Bella nodded, taking the salt. The two girls set off to work.

Bella quickly, but cautiously, walked up the stairs while gripping the salt as tight as possible in her palm. She finally entered Ann's room and looked around for the book. It wasn't in plain sight so she moved further into the room. She crouched down beside Ann's bed and pulls out an old looking box. She opened the box and found the book. She grabbed the books and moved as fast as her injuries would let her.

"Found it!" Bella informed happily. "Great! You just hold on to that for now. I have to bring Leon here somehow...," Ann trailed off.

"Just back up a little bit so you don't get hurt even worse," Ann continued, walking towards the closest exit to the outside world. All while she was doing that, Bella backed up into the corner as she was told. Ann finally comes sprinting back and across the demon trap, careful not to smudge it. "Hand me the book," she panted, noticing the demon was successfully stuck. "Oh my gosh, okay," Bella's voice quivered as she gave the book to Ann as quickly as possible.

Ann then opened the book and flipped through some pages until she found the one they needed. She started chanting the removal ritual while the demon was making horrific screeching noise that sounded like rusty nails scraping across a chalkboard. Finally, Leon's body lit on fire. Then, after a few more lines, the demon crumbled to ashes. Their work here was done.

"Is it over with? Did we kill it, well did you kill it?" Bella asked. "Yeah, but that doesn't mean there are no more demons in general..., and I plan on killing them all," Ann sighed, closing her book. She then started walking towards the main entrance.

"How many more?" Bella asked while following Ann to the entrance after grabbing the salt. "I don't know, but I do know that there are many other monsters that I'll kill on my way," Ann sighed again, glancing back at her friend. "Let's do this!" Bella smiled, glancing at the other with such a fierce and courageous look.

"Are you sure?" Ann paused, looking into Bella's eyes with a playful grin. "I mean, wouldn't it be scary?" She teased. "I'm as sure as I'll ever be," Bella confirmed, returning the playful grin.
