Chapter 773 - The Ark Of Two Friends' Bicker

"I know what you saw, and I did too. I just couldn't make a scene out of it, or else I would scare the children. Those dolls used to be humans, but there's no way of getting them back now," Ashley said grimly.

"I never thought of such an impossible thing... I was wondering why the rest can't see the atrocity. Or if they choose not to. Whatever it is, we can't allow it to hinder our final fight," replied Mavislin, looking forward.

"Roger that, boss," replied Ashley as he allowed Mordred to catch up to them.

The Valkyrie quickly made her sword vanish to conserve her Elemental Energy. It was also to show the Knight that she wasn't in a hostile mode, so there's no need to be on guard for the time being.

"Are you going to use that sword and Original Spell against the King? If so, then we have no problem taking him down!" questioned Mordred, walking beside Mavislin.

"Oh? Were you worried we wouldn't stand a chance against our enemy?"

"No... But if we have such a powerful wave-clearer, then it should be easier for the team, right? Plus, the quicker we finish this, the quicker we can get back home."

"You're right, little Mo-san... Alright, I will use the Mystic Tales on the King, but my final attack would still be from the Empress of Helios because I see that as a more powerful move," replied Mavislin.

"Sure! I want to see you use flames against that wretched King... That'll show him who's boss around here! Oh, and if we get to dinner, I'd like to choose my main dish and celebrate with a dessert... Can I?" pleaded Mordred, tugging on Mavislin's dress like a child.

"Of course! If it's in Clement's cooking knowledge, then I don't see why not. Make sure there's no alcohol because you are still in a kid's body. And I will be controlling your intake after what happened before," replied the Valkyrie, wagging her finger at the Knight.

"Well, that goes without saying! What do you think I'm doing? Trying to make a little fox child drunk? I would never do that when she can't stand the smell of Bryan's whiskey, let alone try drinking it! What do you think I am, some teenage aunt?!"

"And why do you have to control my intake? I am of legal age to drink! And I have done so in the past so that I can hold my liquor well..." asked Mordred, shaking her head.

"How was I supposed to know?! The last time you were drunk, you called Gawain to use Galatine to make pot roast! And when Tristan called you a snapping turtle after a few too many drinks, you used Clarent on him!" protested the Valkyrie.

"He deserved it! Name-calling isn't very good... But, you know..." argued the Knight of Rebellion.

"Oh really? And it is only now that you admit that mistake? That's rather late, isn't it?"

Rina started giggling at the two women's bicker as the two continued to fight about Mordred's misadventures of being drunk around the Round Table Knights.

"What's Butterfly giggling over there about?" asked Mordred, turning her head to find Rina.

"See? Name-calling... And most likely, she is laughing at our argument of who is the King of Drunks..."

"I am not the King of Drunks! You drank more than me!"

"No... I thought that despite not seeing each other for such a long time, you still managed to bicker and talk about the past as if it were just last week. I wish to have friendships like that..." mumbled the Flower Mage as she smiled a sad smile.

"Maybe you should look all around you... Don't just hope, kid. If you want it so badly, then make it come true! Wishing won't do you any good. I can wish for a better sword or armor, but if I stand there and do nothing, then it won't ever happen. So, go make friends."

"You can start by paying attention to that poor Slayer over there because we are using the main entrance, and that poor guy has been hollering for you to go there," ordered Mordred, pointing to the Slayer and Marksman Pillars.

At the same time, the Ankou leaned against the wall beside them. Rina hurried away to the boys while Mavislin and Mordred stood at the front entrance to the final arena. Two giant, black metal doors blocked their way to the King.

It was similar to the exit created by Gillian earlier, but it had more dragon designs. The Valkyrie could sense high amounts of Elemental Energy from beyond those two giant doors and summoned her sword back into her hands. The King was awakening from all the chaos going on.
