"Thank you for saving me at the last part... I didn't expect-"
"No one had expected Bedivere to wield the Holy Lance of King Arthur that could tether the Ends of the World. Even Mavislin knew about the weapon's strength and wanted to save you but was caught up with the twins' battle against Lancelot," explained Ashley, walking away.
"And I hadn't expected you to use your Forbidden Dance when you've already lost an eye... Were you prepared to sacrifice your good eye to win against Bedivere that badly? Because I don't think Mavislin would allow such a thing to occur... She would be pissed..."
"When you were training against Tomoe, I also researched how to use my Forbidden Dance without killing myself. And after looking through Gillian's books, I found another way to bypass the need to explode my eyeball. It was called 'Revised Spells.'"
"That's the Skill of reworking an existing spell to be less Elemental Energy-draining... We only teach that Skill to younger Mages who can't use too much Elemental Energy lest they fall over during battle. But you disregarded the part that needed an eye in your situation?"
"Correct. The Spell became weaker, but it's enough to deal with the final charge. Anyways, how'd your battles go?" asked Rina.
"Well... Ashley was faster than me, but I think Mavislin had finished her target after only half a Chime since we split ways. But, of course, I didn't expect the Knight of the Sun to use an Original Spell when the profile had stated no such thing... What a nasty surprise and twin of Tomoe..."
"As if dealing with the Twelve Suns of the Kitsune wasn't enough, I have to deal with some fire boy wannabe. Ashley came down and saved me from the repercussions of Gawain's Spell, so now I owe two people a favor... I might be in debt."
"And since when are you not in debt? I heard from Minwoo that you used to owe people money because you needed to fuel your alcoholism..." spat Ashley, shaking his head.
"Hey! You don't have to expose me like that..."
After a debate between two men and Rina threatening to slice them up with her spear, the group finally found themselves in a village. Luckily, Rina had reverted into her human disguise, and the men looked normal, so they were instantly invited into the town.
Over there, they found a small abandoned house to transport themselves back to the Old Chapel. Gillian noticed the call and opened the pathway back to the Old Chapel from the trio's area.
"I am surprised you've arrived back, and Baldwin is nowhere in sight... I'm starting to wonder if the World Serpent had eaten the Angry Man..." said Gillian as the trio stepped into his room.
"Are you serious?! That Angry Man hasn't come back from his Mission yet?! That's very late..." asked Ashley, raising an eyebrow.
"Yea... But that man has a knack for being late, so there's that. But let's put that aside because I would like to know how the three of you could brace the impact of Rhongomyniad..." said the Headmaster, sitting at his desk.
The trio looked at each other before collectively shrugging their shoulders. But this didn't help Gillian's temper as he slammed his desk and stood up angrily. Rina and Bryan were startled, and the Flower Mage looked like she was about to cry. Gillian instantly softened and apologized.
"Sorry about my outburst... I was upset that the Holy Lance was still going around the world when we put our best efforts into sealing that giant Elemental Weapon. But you are lucky because the battle you fought against the Holy Lance with only four locks released."
"If more than half of the requirements are met to unleash the Holy Lance's power, the three of you would be all dead. Count yourselves lucky that you were fighting Bedivere, a person known to be very human and down-to-earth as opposed to the rest of the Round Table," explained Gillian.
"We wouldn't have won if I didn't use my Arcane Eyes and Forbidden Dance..." said Rina, twiddling her thumbs.
The Headmaster widened his eyes upon hearing the Flower Mage's words.
"So, how did it work? Or was there something that you saw?"
"Something was controlling Bedivere after I dealt the fatal blow... It was faint, but I could tell with my slashes that there were chains connecting to Bedivere's joints. And the enemy was begging me to run away after getting controlled like a puppet..."
Gillian remained silent as he gestured for Bryan to tell of his battle against Gawain to see if he had similar experiences as Rina.
"I saw no such chains, but the Knight of the Sun acted strangely after seeing my Magecraft."
