"Where are you going? I thought you're not going to head out until midday?" asked the Time Mage.
"I want to see the newly formed Old Chapel because Gillian said that it's quite a change," said the Valkyrie as she opened the front door.
But Mavislin's heart sank as she stepped out into the open only to see that the forest wall of the Spacial Spell for the Old Chapel to be an 'untouchable area' had been eradicated. The door slammed shut behind the startled Valkyrie as she continued outwards.
"What the hell is going on? Why are the forests and fields gone?!" asked Mavislin as she stepped onto the grey ground instead of the usual greenfield.
It was like looking at the ends of the world, where nothing else lies beyond the grey grounds. Was this going to happen to humanity as well? The fate of humankind is to see the destruction of the world? No... This was just an illusion created from Gillian's Spell, but...
The Valkyrie was horrified to see the outlines of the area had become a massive ring of purple flames. It was as if the entire place was on a floating island. Mavislin rushed towards the perimeters of the area, only to be halted by Gillian's grip on her collar.
"I told you that when the Old Chapel goes into battle mode, it doesn't have enough Elemental Power to keep anything else alive other than the occupants within it. However, the building can house more than the Congregation's capacity, so that's a fair trade."
"The area beyond that purple flame would be the gap between this space and the world outside. Only I can allow the occupants to pass through since I can create the proper door. Trying jumping off, and you will die, despite being able to fly," explained Gillian as Mavislin calmed herself down.
"Come along now; let's get you some rest as I open the pathway for Raiyen and Tomoe to pass through," said Gillian, pulling Mavislin close to bringing her back to the Old Chapel.
The Old Chapel had turned into a large mansion with yellow stones instead of greyish walls. It looked like a temple of sorts, but it was incredibly massive.
"Hang on, Gillian. When you open the portal back to the real world, can you choose our site? Meaning to say, can you open the exit within any Domain instead of the Campania?" asked Mavislin, suddenly getting an idea.
"That is right, but it's only when the Old Chapel is forced to be in this mode. So why do you ask?"
"Can you control the exit to lead to an exact location if I tell you where?"
"Well, I must have seen that area or building beforehand since the spell is based on my memories of the Five Domains..."
"How about words? If I tell you the name of the street or village, will you be able to transport me there?"
"In theory, that would be correct, but if you get the words wrong, you risk yourself being transported to the Void, so I'd bet on my memories instead."
"Then can you control our way back, like opening an entrance at our position again?"
"I'm about to do that for Baldwin when he sends me a message from his Signal Crystal, but I have to be prepared just in case someone else jumps into the entrance from the other side," replied Gillian as they went back to the dining hall where Raiyen and Tomoe were ready to head out.
"Alright, let's get the portal opened..." said Gillian, cracking his neck and taking out a book from his cloak.
"Hang on... You're creating the exit in the dining hall?! I thought you'd be going outside?!" asked Mavislin, stepping away in fear.
"Well, creating exits from the Old Chapel back to the real world would be easier than creating entrances from the outside. Thus, it's safe to do it here. Now, I need the exact location of where the two of you need to go," described Gillian, flipping through pages.
"I need you to send us to the Malbork Castle at the Northern Coast of the Campania... It's the same site that we took over and fought against that giant sea serpent... I can't remember the name, but I think you've got the picture in your head..." said Raiyen.
"Yep, I know which one. I'm not too fond of that place since it's so close to the seas... Ruined my dinner night with Ysabeau..." complained the Headmaster as pages from his book flew out to create a door.
"The Castle built by order of Campania's Knights... Manifest yourself and show me the path. Anchor it! Open the gates!" shouted Gillian as the pages solidified into a giant stone door.
