Chapter 657 - The Ark Of Deciding Which Knight

"The Valkyrie's right, and I don't need a smoke now... I need a coffee because I will discuss with the Pillars how they are going after the revived Knights of the Round Table. So, Raiyen and Tomoe, you are free to leave this meeting room," commanded Gillian, nodding at the two men.

"Well... I guess there's that. I am tired beyond relief so I will turn in for the night. Wake me up when Baldwin kills that Hound of Madness or when it's my turn to command the Vigilantes..." said Raiyen, glitching out of the room.

"I will also be taking my leave. Mavislin and the Pillars, I wish you luck for the upcoming battle. I will be heading out once dawn breaks, even without Baldwin's result against the Conchorbar. Farewell, for now," said Tomoe, walking out of the room like an ordinary being.

As the two beings left, Mavislin decided to conjure up the profiles of every Knight that had been revived to fight in the conflict.

"I told the twins and Ashley about this plan so that I will interpret it again for the Slayer and Spearman. First, the Marksman Pillar will hunt and bring down the Knight of Lamentation and Bow, Tristan. After that, the Slayer will be up against the Knight of the Sun, Gawain."

"The Spearman's target will be the Knight of Heaven and Shield; Galahad. And the twins have decided to fight against the Knight of the Lake, Lancelot. And I will be participating in the fray as I have set my sights on the Knight of Wandering; Bedivere."

"After we finish the Knights, we will move as a group to defeat the Black Knight. I am still clinging to the Black Knight's true identity being Artoria Pendragon, King Arthur of Britannia. Is there any issues with the plans so far?" asked Mavislin, scanning the room.

"A small nitpick but shouldn't you allow the twins to go against an easy opponent first? I've heard from the legends that Vivian grants Lancelot the Protection of the Lake and carries an ultimate nullifying armor against the Darkness Element."

"Moreover, Lancelot was noted to be one of the strongest Knights out of the Round Table, even matching up to the Knight of the Sun. Out of all five, Lancelot would be the most dangerous Knight to fight against. Especially since his sword, Arondight, is the counterpart of Excalibur."

"Thus, I propose you allow the twins to fight Bedivere instead of Lancelot since it is their first time on the field," explained Rina, pointing to the profiles.

"I was thinking about that, but I also want to uphold Mordred's honor as a Knight of the Round Table by allowing her to choose which Knight she tried to fight against. And besides, there is a fatal flaw with your explanation..." began the Valkyrie as she walked over to Lancelot's profile.

"He may have been called the Knight of the Lake, but this is after his death. This Knight is no longer the proud member of the Round Table as he has allowed the Darkness to consume him enough to revive him. The same goes for the rest of the revived Knights."

"Thus, we cannot assume that these targets will be the same as the stories or memories we've known about the Arthurian Legends. And with the live information from my patrollers, the Five King's men, and now the Mafia Force, they have concluded a new profile for the enemies."

"These are the new ones, so study your target's profile and plan for the battle. If you want to play on the unethical side, you may jog their memories about the fall of Camelot to provoke them further. But do so carefully as they can still infect you with their 'Darkness.'"

"Although for Mordred, your presence should be enough for Lancelot to lose all his sanity for a proper battle, so stay prepared for that outcome," explained Mavislin.

"You are right about that, but I think that Gawain will lose his mind when fighting against Bryan because the guy looks like Sir Kay, the foster brother of King Arthur and third seat of the Round Table. And the way the Slayer fights is almost the same as Bedivere."

"How so? I thought Bedivere was one of those Knights that don't fight... He was a caretaker for the King, am I right?" asked a confused Slayer.

"To be qualified in the Knights of the Round Table, one must recite and follow the Code Of Chivalry. Another requirement that no one needs to be reminded of would be our fighting abilities. I may have talked down about Bedivere being the worst at battles, but he still a Knight nonetheless."

"A very, very... Annoying Knight..." grumbled Mordred.

"So you are saying that I am as bad as him?"
