The Time Mage sighed as he motioned for Headmaster to move on with the discussion.
"As for the Slayer, what are you planning to do about the upcoming Mission with the High Queen? And I've noticed that the two of you aren't on good terms, so make sure to fix those odds before you set off for the Mission," ordered the Headmaster, downing a big gulp of whiskey.
On cue, the High Queen and Slayer shot a glare at each other that could create a thunderstorm in the room, proving the Headmaster's point of the two being at odds with each other. But it was the Slayer who gave in and sighed.
"I have no problems with working with the High Queen. It's only certain things that I can't see eye to eye with her. Other than that, I am certain our odds will not affect our Mission. After all, the enemy's enemy is my friend, right?"
"And we are on the same side, so I can't be fighting against the High Queen all the time," explained the Slayer, downing the last drop of whiskey.
"Our plan would be simple; we will infiltrate the Briton Domain while seeing if we can know about the appearing dolls incident. I may have been resting, but I'm getting more alerts from my Ark that more sightings of dolls have been found," said Ysabeau.
"Are the reports based on victims or witnesses?"
"Witnesses; it would appear that the dolls are all life-sized and found in clothing stalls. It's a trend now to display an article of clothing on these dolls. However, I feel gut that these life-sized dolls were made by the same person doing the toy ones."
"How accurate would your gut feeling be when cross-referencing with other reports?"
"Nearly 90% accurate as the only person churning out porcelain dolls is the Baron Fabian Brookes of the Briton Domain. However, I can't confirm if these dolls are docile or hostile."
"They can be dormant as well..." said the Slayer as he stared at the table.
Tomoe's face changed from relaxed to serious as his eyes became dull. The fox could hear his heart thumping as he thought about what to say. Finally, Tomoe glanced at Raiyen before looking at Mavislin with sad eyes.
The Kitsune shocked everyone by standing up before Gillian could give his take on the matter.
"There is something I failed to mention during our previous meeting. And I didn't know if it was appropriate since we were receiving so much crucial Intel at such a short period," stated Tomoe, refusing to look at any eyes.
"Do let us know the information that you've been withholding. We assure you that it won't be falling on deaf ears," bellowed the Headmaster, sending shivers down the fox's spine.
"It's the late Marquess Minwoo. The locals in Briton swear that they've seen the dead Marquess around. But, sadly, because Minwoo was never a Mage, I had no way of tracking Elemental Energy signatures to confirm the rumors."
"But with the activation of the Arks, the Vigilante has been bombarded with multiple sightings of people who should have died long ago, walking about like it's another day," explained Tomoe, looking up and straight into the Headmaster's blue eyes.
Everyone's eyes widened as they turned to look at Tomoe. And Ashley was the first to stand and deny the rumors before Mavislin could ask anything about the stories.
"I can confirm right now that whatever is running around in Briton isn't my late brother because I saw him in Euphoria before coming here. Minwoo's body hasn't fully been absorbed into Mavislin's memory and Elemental Energy Pool, so there's no way he can get out without vanishing."
"Going back to the High Queen's mention of the dolls appearing, I've also encountered some creatures while moving around the sewers. Unfortunately, I found they were artificial and organic porcelain dolls through the hard way by slicing them up."
"But the bodies were too mangled up with organs that it was hard to tell if a doll was made up of more than one person," added Ashley, his face beginning to twist into a disgusted look.
"But I've asked you to scout around the Albion region, finding about the Black Knight's whereabouts and tactics. Why would Fabian's creation be lurking around Albion when he is based in Briton?" asked Mavislin, puzzled.
"I was lurking underneath Albion's land, but I still encountered those things. And if I'm not wrong, those tunnels are all interconnected with all Five Domains, even bypassing large water bodies. The dolls must've traveled from Briton to Albion-"
"No way that's going to happen. Those dolls you've mentioned aren't strong enough to walk far distances. So they don't have any means of getting Elemental Energy unless a Mage travels with them."
