Chapter 616 - The Ark Of Dual Knockout

Tomoe managed to get the upper hand against Mordred as he forced her to aim the sword down. The Kitsune had a brief moment of victory as he reached the opening to swing his katana at the Knight. But before he could do so, Bryan was behind Mordred and ready to strike her back again.

However, Mordred had none of it as she used her hands to grip both opponents' weapons. The Knight of Rebellion didn't care about the usual way of fighting as she tugged onto Tomoe's katana, forcing the fox to lean forward.

Mordred smiled as she kneed Tomoe in the stomach, causing the poor Familiar to convulse and spit out blood. After flinging Tomoe away, the Knight aimed at Bryan by releasing his weapons. This sudden release made the Slayer tumble backward, and Mordred took it as a chance to knock him out.

"Sorry, but it's my style to knock opponents with my strength. No hate or anger behind it, just purely to show that Midori can be strong enough to take on two boys despite being a child," explained Mordred as she picked up her sword and drove the pommel into Bryan's abdomen.

With the two male Mages down, the Old Chapel instantly alerted Z and Mavislin by forcing their work to shut down. The two Founders glanced at each other before leaping out the window. The Valkyrie was the first to reach the children as Z used his strong legs to follow along.

When Mavislin looked down at the pit, she instantly dived down to clash with Mordred using her talons. The Knight was taken aback since she hadn't expected her target to show up so soon.

"Hey, Mav! How are you?" asked Mordred as she grinned while blocking the Valkyrie's attack.

"Really?! After you knocked out my Slayer, you want to ask how am I?! I'll show you how fine am I about that!" roared Mavislin as she blew back the Knight by flicking her claws.

Mordred was thrown across the arena and slammed into the wall with strength that could break a typical kid's spine. The Valkyrie gave no opening for the Knight as she plucked out a feather to reveal her Fire Feather Whip. Mordred held no ounce of fear as she lunged toward Mavislin.

The Valkyrie and the Treacherous Knight went up against each other, with Mavislin moving her whip about and Mordred defending herself by using her giant sword. M

It's been so long since they last fought, so Mordred wouldn't know how much stronger was Mavislin after that day when Camelot fell. The Knight of Rebellion was quickly stunned as the whip coiled around her blade, and Mavislin was in front of her within a heartbeat.

"You may be strong enough to defeat my Slayer, but make no mistakes about my power when fighting against me. Midori, and you have a long way to go even to hold a candle next to me!" scolded Mavislin as she used her hand to hold Mordred's face.

One wrong move and the Valkyrie would destroy the girl's skull instantly. Midori was awake and quickly asked Mordred to stand down. The Knight obliged, and Midori looked like her usual self again. By this time, both Bryan and Tomoe were awake.

Mavislin walked towards the two male Mages with a very guilty-looking Midori hiding behind her wings.

"What do you have to say to the two of them?" asked Mavislin, glaring at Midori.

The poor child's ears drooped as she pouted, with tears threatening to come out. As tough and rebellious Midori may be, anyone would be in that pitiful state if you had your face nearly crushed by one of the Universe's most powerful beings.

"I'm... Sowwy..." murmured Midori as she inched forward to Tomoe and Bryan.

The pair looked at each other before they broke into smiles, confusing both girls. Tomoe got up and scooped up Midori, placing her on his shoulders while having a dumb grin on his face.

"Are you two alright? Or has Mordred knocked your heads to another state of mental problems?" asked Mavislin, tilting her head.

"Oi! I did no such thing... I never touched their heads; they are insane by nature!" protested Mordred within Midori's head.

"If they're insane, then you must be messed up seven ways to Sunday with how you've been acting for the past few days," replied Midori, sighing.

"I'm not angry at you... On the contrary, I'm proud of you! You can fight so well! Even if you didn't have Mordred's help, you could've wounded me without much effort! And that means you can defeat lower-ranking Mages, so I don't have to worry about you getting bullied by others!"
