Chapter 607 - The Ark Of Nasima's Niche

"Thus, I would rank Nasima as the strongest in combat strength," explained Z.

"I think you might've mistaken the entire situation, Z... Nasima broke through those shields because she could tell the location of their weak points as she used her Blood Mastery to feel for the vulnerable. And she was using flurry attacks at high speeds to discern the spell's breaking points."

"Remember that the weapons and beasts these kids conjure up are extensions of themselves, like how Bryan is biologically connected to his twin scythes."

"Thus, Nasima isn't the strongest in strength but rather in speed as she can view the target's weak point in the matter of milli-Ticks," described Mavislin, pulling over the five children's charts for Z's reference.

The Galaxian Mage leaned forward and squinted at the holographic screens as Mavislin continued eating her tea break. Z noted that Nasima's intellect was the highest amongst the children, though this was based on the records stolen from the experiments.

But another thing stood out in Nasima's notes during her tortured stay in Albion. And that was the rate of recovery for the child. Z widened his eyes as he continued reading Nasima's profile. The files stated that the child could recover from a bone fracture in a matter of Chimes.

Sadly, in a gut-wrenching experiment, Nasima was forced to have both of her legs smashed into pieces for the sake of research. As a result, Nasima's bones in her legs were shattered beyond repair and usually would've crippled an average Joe.

But according to the data gathered, Nasima's legs were fully healed within two Chimes, causing the doctors to transfer her to a better wing of the area for better care and further studies. As for minor wounds like whip lashes and deep cuts, Nasima could heal them almost instantly.

Thus, her main objective after the transfer was to suffer the endless pains of being injured by the researchers and continuously getting 'sweets' which were mixes of cyanide and drugs. Z was horrified by this fact and turned to look at Mavislin with a face of terror.

"You were the one who uploaded these files into the archives... How could you do it with a straight face? I'm about to hurl with some of these descriptions of the experiments on these poor children..."

"How do you have the stomach to gather all these data?!" exclaimed Z, looking at Mavislin in desperation and confusion.

The Valkyrie blinked slowly before closing her eyes and sighing.

"That's why I told you that night that I wanted to be left alone. You and Raiyen were trying to help out, but I'd rejected Gillian and Baldwin before, so you two wouldn't stand a chance in seeing what I was doing. I bet you would've killed yourself at the sight of all the reports."

"I was trying to compile the information gathered from the database back in the labs of the Mission to fit into our archives. To be frank, the descriptions you are reading now are a very watered version of the actual recorded data from those monsters."

"I can tolerate those things because I have always seen morbid things and surrounded myself with death to the point of offering food to the Grim Reaper himself," explained Mavislin, closing her eyes as she remembered the Reaper's face.

"I guess you are why all the Missions about gruesome findings are always snatched before I can think of taking them... I wonder which pair will be up next, or will Nasima be fighting another child?" questioned Z, looking back at his work.

"I'm not sure as well... Besides, where's Tomoe? I can't smell that Kitsune at the group, so he must be somewhere else..." said Mavvislin, her voice trailing off as she continued researching the Knights of the Round Table and how to improve the Blood Mastery.

And to answer the Valkyrie's question, Tomoe was on the highest tree that the Old Chapel's forest could grow and watching the battle from above. He smirked as he drank his sake and stretched out his arms to yawn, pondering if he should join the group now.

But first, the fox was waiting for the next contenders for the second duel as Bryan hurried back to the group after placing Amani to sleep. As he continued to down another cup, Tomoe could not help but notice something was heading straight to him from a distance away.

Though Tomoe may be a Familiar, his sense of sight wasn't as good as the Founders, and he could not detect Elemental Spells from a certain distance away. So when the spell did touch him, poor Tomoe was caught off guard and soon regretted his choice of sitting at a high post.

"I hate it when the Old Chapel's defenses are-"
