Nasima gave a small and innocent smile before she lowered her body slightly. The sound of the floor breaking was enough to push Midori's adrenaline to join the fight. Sensing that she was going for another attack, Amani quickly chose another card to clash with Nasima.
The boy's favorite beast to use is the Leviathan. But even though it may be his favorite, it stood no chance against the Tempest and her wound-inflicting spear. And that was when Amani realized Nasima had yet to unleash an Elemental attack against his beasts.
How could he be so careless? Amani tried to pull back from charging toward Nasima, but it was too late. Nasima's spear was dead on destroying his favorite pet as she thrust it at the Leviathan's skull.
"Might Of Ventosus: Presage Gáe Buide!" yelled Nasima as she released the golden spear.
To everyone's amazement, Nasima's spear was powerful enough to decimate the beast, and Amani had no choice but to use another weapon. Unfortunately, the small girl was without her spear. However, it did not deter her from going on the offensive against Amani, who was without a beast.
She quickly chased Amani down to land the finishing blow, but the boy had other plans. With another sharp boost to his Elemental Aura, Nasima backed away while Amani proceeded to call in his third spell to aid in his duel. By right, Bryan could have stopped the fight.
However, it wouldn't be fair to Amani since it was his first time trying to be more offensive within combat. But this battle was tipping to favor Nasima's side if Amani didn't bring out a defensive weapon soon. The Slayer did not doubt that Amani would use a shield again.
And that's what the kid did, much to the disappointment of the Marksman Pillar. But this shield was not a one-time spell; it was a spell to call upon a physical weapon to deal damage against Nasima. So it was going to be interesting to see how Amani would use the shield.
As a defense and attacking weapon, but to Nasima, be it against an attacker or defender, nothing will survive her spear. So it didn't matter to her as long as she could strike at the weakest spot to end the duel. That has always been her; the first strike would be the last.
That was why most of her attacks were quick. But unfortunately, she wasn't built for long-lasting battles, so she needed to find the fastest way to win against her opponents. The first strike was the deal-breaker of the entire fight. Miss it, and it'll cost your life.
However, in this case, she was facing a friend. So she didn't dare to use her usual tactic, or Amani would've been dead from the start. Dead... Death... What were those words to the baby of the group? So simple, being dead is where you'll never open your eyes again.
An eternal sleep with a lovely dream forever in the dead's eyes. Where pain and suffering do not exist, where tears stop flowing endlessly... That was where Nasima dreamed of going during the Infinite Experiments of Albion. A world where she could play and draw to her heart's content.
"I... I want to play..." was always the words coming out of her mouth before the doctors would snatch her away from her play area.
"There will be no playing around here... You are very important for our research..." was the standard answer coming from the men in white cloaks.
"Why are you putting those things on my head? They feel cold... I don't like them..." whined Nasima as the doctors delivered several hundred bolts of lightning into the poor girl's body.
Nasima was shocked a few times per day; the main reason she sometimes stares blankly at things and always looks aloof. Her brain had been fried to almost a crisp before being found by the Arks. But one thing remained constant; Nasima's sense of touch.
She could combat the slightest movements, such as a person sitting across the room fidgeting would set her senses off. However, it was hard to control, making Nasima unable to be close to people. Luckily, the doctors never found that aspect about Nasima.
The child detested candies as the doctors would put nasty things into them to cause her tummy aches throughout the day. The poor girl would roll around in agony but dare not cry since those who shed tears would be thrown into the waste area.
The child recalled her past as she continued to fight Amani with nothing but her fists and legs. Despite being so small, Nasima could take on Amani's shield bash with notable strength and tenacity. Ashley looked at the small girl with an agape mouth while Bryan watched intently.
