It was faint at the time but not blocked. While the others have a solid Aura color surrounding their bodies, Midori had green with bright red sparks of Elemental Energy. Duncan's case was slightly more complex, and Z had to do a double-take on the boy's Aura.
The child's Aura was mainly black and purple but as Z looked closely, behind the pitch-black Aura was an eerie glow of green. After reporting the fact to Mavislin, the Valkyrie carried on with creating the new Element, dubbing it 'Blood Mastery.'
But Mavislin was right; the only purpose for creating this Element was to help the children offensively and prevent them from exploding because of raised blood levels. But Duncan has made changes to the workings of the new Element, and Mavislin is rushing to keep up.
"So, what's your plan now? Do you want to scrap that project entirely since the kids are messing with the works, or will you find a way to work around it?" asked Tomoe, finally finding a page that talked about the sword of the stone.
"No, if I do that, my progress would have been naught. So I have to find a way to make this work. I never thought that a child could modify a created Element in such a short time..." murmured Mavisliun, as she shifted holographic diagrams all over her vision.
"You should've taken that to account when using children as test subjects," spat Z, not looking away from his screens.
Mavislin and Tomoe shifted their gaze to the Galaxian Mage. It was rare for Z to be eavesdropping on conversations that did not apply to him. But the Galaxian Mage couldn't take it anymore and voiced his opinion.
"What do you mean?" squeaked Mavislin.
"Think about it, Mavislin. If you create a new Element, it is like a child in its way. Thus, if you place a new Element in a young body, such as a child, both Element and person will grow and develop new characteristics. And they are going to break some rules here and there."
"I get that you have no clue how human children progress into adulthood since you aren't human. Thus, let me give you some tips. Children of this realm are quick to learn, and their bodies are flexible. As a result, though weaker than other beings, the children are stronger than most adults."
"And sometimes, they pick up on things that even adults could miss. For example, they can see small details since their perspective is vastly different from an adult's. So this work in progress isn't for nothing if you'd do what I always loved to do. Sit back and watch," said Z, smiling.
The Valkyrie glanced at her screens and diagrams before looking back at the Galaxian Mage.
"Are you... Serious about that?!" asked Mavislin, blinking rapidly.
"Yes, I am. It would be best to let these kids explore the Blood Mastery Element and work alongside them to perfect it. And by 'perfecting,' I don't mean that all five of them should be the same. They can have different aspects and still work as an Element."
"You need to monitor them closely whenever the children use the Blood Mastery in a new way and record it down for future reference. Perfecting a new Element would mean having full control over it, and these kids are still learning about their Elements."
"So, you're saying to give the kids free reign to creatively think of ways to use Blood Mastery to its maximum potential?"
"Without placing their lives on the line. Let the young Element and the children grow as one, and you will find that your workload and stress will be gone instantly. You'd be surprised that the human body isn't as stiff as you think. Baby bones are soft enough to bend."
"And children healing patterns are much faster compared to an adult. So as both Element and the body grow, the two would complement each other. But for now, it is still trying to live with its hosts. That's why you need to monitor them for any dangerous signs."
The Valkyrie sighed and nodded as she closed all of the opened screens. However, she left a blank screen opened and began punching in the current uses of the Blood Mastery Element. After half an hour had gone by, Tomoe couldn't take it anymore and walk away from the screens.
"You don't work well under such circumstances, Tomoe?" asked Mavislin, shaking her head in disappointment.
"It's not my thing to spend time reading on things like this. Of course, it is interesting to learn more about how this part of the world works, but it bores me to death. But I must say, this particular recount of the Arthurian Legend did catch my eye for longer than usual."
