Chapter 593 - The Ark Of Ashley's Recount Of Euphoria

Rina quickly moved from her seat to help the poor girl, and Bryan had the same reaction as Z. The only thing different between the two was that Bryan had control. As for the Marksman Pillar, he recalled when Mavislin would try to sneak eyeballs into his rice.

The man shivered at the thought and continued to eat his noodles while checking for foreign objects on his plate. After all, children were rascals, so he needed to be cautious around them. But the stickman did laugh inwardly after unlocking that memory.

Although it had been recently for the group, Ashley was in Euphoria for more than a decade and lived an empty life in paradise before choosing to come back as Mavislin's weapon. He trained himself with the newfound power he had manifested with.

But there was a flip side. The more time he spent in Euphoria, the more he lost touch with his feelings and desires. You were in paradise. It's almost the same as ascending to the Upper Skies; what more would you ask for? Ashley had no clue why he wanted to keep fighting.

It was then that his memories started to fade as well. First, he had forgotten about his parents and then his ex-lover. The woman who he had planned to marry. He saved her once but wasn't there during the second attempt. And it was also when he received his powers.

When Ashley continued training his powers, he found that he had developed a Seawater Element. The harnessing of such an Element stemmed from the Marksman partaking on a journey within Euphoria to ease his wandering mind. Ashley stumbled upon a body of water.

It was like standing at the beach and looking at an endless supply of emerald-green water. Then, a giant wall came up as the man dipped his foot into the rushing tide. That's when Ashley found he had met the essence of Lord Atlantia within Euphoria.

Upon journeying back, he found a way to create his Orignal Spells out of the newfound Element while implementing the properties of Valokian Light into his spells. And after everything that happened, Ashley found himself swimming in an endless pit.

He was tired, angry, and frustrated. What was he doing in such a place? If this is truly paradise, then why does he have so much hate for this realm?! The Marksman angrily flipped the coffee table of the house he had lived in for the past ten years.

It was as if he was an empty husk of a person that used to have a purpose for living. Why was he training himself to use Magecraft? Didn't he hate Mages at one point? Ashley felt conflicted and confused. This place is to give closure, a happily ever after for ones who died for Mavislin.

Then... Why does it not do so? Why was he so confused about what to do in such a place? The reason was so laughable and straightforward. Ashley Von Dalles wasn't the type to have a happily ever after. He couldn't sit still for more than a few hours before itching to see the world.

The man needed to be active; he joined the Mafia. Or else, he would have been a lowly farmer or blacksmith. But, no, Ashley hated those kinds of jobs. Being cooped at home was torture for the young man. That's why he had a heart that yearned for adventure.

The house he had been living in was in disarray, and the gardens outside were slowly starting to wither and die due to Ashley's inner dilemma. But the moment he reflected and regained that single snippet of his memories, everything changed.

It was like that single memory was the key to unlocking the memories sealed away all those years ago. Then, finally, the house was no longer decrepit, and the flowers outside began to bloom once more. Ashley never thought that seeing the blue sky again would make him so happy.

The next day was one of the celebrations as he received a visitor. Of course, it shocked the poor stickman and made him spill his morning coffee all over the kitchen floor. The pain of the scalding coffee was negated due to the nature of Euphoria, but it was a hassle to clean everything up.

But the ex-sniper thought to answer the door first before cleaning up the spill since the guest was very insistent on knocking the door down. When he finally got to open the door, Ashley wanted to slam the door shut and bolt up the door for all eternity.

Out of all the people to appear in paradise, why does it have to be him?!

"Oi! I haven't seen you for a year, and this is how you greet me?! By slamming the door on me?!" yelled the new person.
