"Hmph, I should say the same for you. After all, you never liked me to use my powers anywhere near you, so this would be a good chance to see your reactions to my Frames. But, unfortunately, you weren't there to see me in action yesterday so you will get the first-row seat!" replied Duncan.
Instantly, the twins' Auras flared up. Both kids placed their feet in front and bent down, getting ready to lunge at each others' throats. Midori's sword appeared, which was Mordred's Clarent Sword. Part of Mordred's armor also appeared on the child.
But the audience began to worry as Duncan had not produced any weapon or armor to protect himself from his sister's massive blade. Then, to Bryan's horror, Midori gave no space as she vanished and appeared right in front of Duncan, with red lightning surrounding her.
Or was she from the red lightning itself? Bryan couldn't tell since the two children duked it out straight after. Duncan merely used his forearm to block the strike, surprising Midori for a split second. Then, the boy lifted a leg and tried swinging at his sister, making Midori back away.
The two then went toe to toe, with Midori striking Duncan countless times and Duncan blocking the attacks with his bare arms. Until Midori decided to stop using Mordred's sword and rely on her Original Spell. The girl increased the distance between her opponent by jumping back.
Midori closed her eyes and began her chant, unknowing her twin's reaction to using an Orginal Spell. While the rest of the children all relied on their Original Spells, Midori was the only one who thought her 'Seeds', her Original Spell, to be weak.
With Mordred part of her, there was no need to use an Original Spell, but Midori didn't like the idea of always borrowing powers from another entity. Of course, working together is another matter, but if the child kept relying on Mordred's help, it would mean that she was weak.
At least, that's what the Child Of Gaia thought. The Seeds that Midori had created were perfect but fighting against her twin required a different move since Duncan was a bit more erratic in his combat to use the Seeds on him.
Thus, Midori decided to draw out another weapon from her world of swords at that single moment. However, the drawing of swords was also a form of Orginal Spell, a lesser form of it. But since this occurs only in the child's mind, the adults have no clue about such ability.
They thought the weapons were inspired by tidbits of information they had seen in their past. But in reality, these kids were granted the use of such historical relics because of the blood given to them and with a bonus that their fathers were all Pure Blood Mages.
"This is the one to bring down my foe. Unlock. This is the sword I have chosen. Unlock. As I wield my weapon high, I will not be tainted by the Corrupted. Unlock..." chanted Midori as she heard the sounds of locks breaking.
The child then crouched and placed her right palm onto the rocky turf. Duncan sensed the change of power in the air and finally summoned up some form of weapon. Duncan shot out his two palms and snapped as two dark orbs of Elemental Energy appeared in his palms.
"I am the writer, and this battle is my script. The Act of Sinners intertwines within my hands. The Record Of Darkness hangs around me. Let the Play Of Death... Begin!" ordered Duncan as the orbs morphed into two Sotobas, grave markers from the day before.
"Behold, the counterpart of the sword, Excalibur. Known as the weapon wielded by the Knight Of the Lake, this sword shall lead me to my victory! Arondight; The Unfading Light of the Lake!" yelled Midori as she pulled out a large, white sword from the ground.
After gripping the sword tightly, the twins lunged at each other and clashed with great force and speed. The two then battled it out again, with Duncan finally trying to attack this time. Like Clarent, the sword in the child's arms should be pretty heavy, but Midori didn't feel the strain.
Instead, she performed maneuvers with the blade as if she was using a stick during playtime. As a result, Duncan found it extraordinarily difficult to clash against the white sword without feeling a spark of hurt in his body.
Not that the sword had wounded him, but Duncan felt a sting whenever they clashed. It was as if fighting with that pure white sword was hurting his core. Could it be that the sword possessed the Light Element? No... That shouldn't be possible; Midori could only use the Earth Element.
