Then, as the children obediently sat down, Rina tried her best to get a squirming Kai into the high wooden chair. The poor baby was on the brink of tears as he was forced to sit and eat his breakfast, oats. Nasima went up to Kai and pulled funny faces to make the baby calm down.
Rina thanked the Wind Child, and Clement served everyone their breakfast. Mavislin cleared her throat to get everyone's attention.
"I know this is breakfast time but are you kids alright to listen to what I tell you? It's about the Blood Mastery I've bestowed upon you five," announced Mavislin.
The children glanced at one another with worry. They were warned that the Blood Mastery Spell was still a work in progress, and it isn't stable if used excessively. The children nodded with eyes fixated on the Valkyrie.
"I'm teaching everyone about the Blood Element for today. That includes the two Pillars, Verna and Rie, to listen in. So, Z, you may listen in and correct me if I'm wrong about my explanations," said Mavislin, glancing at her two Pillars.
Rina and Bryan nodded while Z held up a thumbs-up sign.
"Alright then, let's begin. Oh, please eat up as well, or you might make Clement sad. The Blood Mastery that the five of you possess is the lesser form of the Blood Element. Many moons ago, I knew of a friend who could use the Blood Element. Thus, I taught it to you five."
"However, because you're all young children, you haven't reached the level of using the Blood Element yet. First off, let me start with a question. What's an Element? An Element is a material or objects fully controlled by its Mage. For example, little Nasima is a Wind Elemental Mage."
"She can control anything that has to do with wind, so that is her Element. Being a Mage of an Element means that you have to know that Element from top to bottom. And you have full control and knowledge of the Element."
"For instance, I may be able to use the Earth Element, but I wouldn't call myself an Earth Mage. Just because I can use it doesn't mean I have control of it. It's the same for the five of you regarding the Blood Element."
"As for the full potential of the mentioned Element, it's pretty fun to see it in action rather than speaking it. I will show you later, but I'll tell you some tricks. When you see a Blood Mage in action, you'll notice that they love to dive headfirst into the fight.:
"The more you cut them, the more powerful they become. Blood Mages have bountiful amounts of blood, and they use it for attacking others. It doesn't matter if they can use Wind or Water. If their blood is she's, any attack can spring out from those few droplets."
"Blood Mages can solidify their blood to make weapons or combust into flames. In the extreme cases, their blood can bond severed limbs back together," explained Mavislin as everyone ate.
Z was intrigued by how the Valkyrie could understand the concept of Elements at such a young age. But then again, the Valkyrie could've been lying about her age since she was best friends with Mordred Pendragon.
"But the main aspect of the Blood Element isn't about being a weapon to attack or defend. The reason why the Blood Element was created was that my friend was too weak as a Valkyrie. My people are huge creatures, and we are quite strong."
"Unfortunately for my friend, she was born frail. A child that should've never been born, much less go on to create such a powerful Element. But it was because she was weak, so she made this Element of Blood. The main aspect of the Blood Element is to enhance strength."
"My friend's body was weak. I remember she couldn't even summon her wings until years later, compared to the rest of us. Even when she did, she couldn't fly. But she wasn't weak in Magecraft. On the contrary, it was quite the opposite."
"She was filled to the brim with Elemental Energy, nowhere to go. Thus, the Blood Element was made to be strengthening your physical strengths beyond normal limits. The attacks came into the picture at a later time when my friend could take to the skies."
"With these in mind, I want you all to learn from each other in today's lesson," finished Mavislin, looking at the children with a bright smile.
By this time, the children had finished most of their food, while Duncan was the only one left with a clean plate. Kai also had a clean bowl, but for a different reason since the baby boy hated oats. After Mavislin's mini-lesson, the children looked confused.
