"Please don't lump me in with that Poisoned Pond. I'm not using my enemies, and I'm giving them a chance like how I did for you. Using my enemies would be slicing them up to nine ways to Sunday as experiments for the benefit of research like the Old Man Pond."
"Alright, you win. I will do my best to capture the hound, but I am fleeing the scene if something goes south. If the dog gives chase, I've no choice but to fight. Whether the outcome is murder or not, let's hope the stars will align on that day," replied Baldwin, shrugging his shoulders.
"Oh yea, you haven't answered my initial question. Are you going to bring the Knights into this mission? They might come in handy against a fearsome beast like Goibniu."
"I agree, but I think I would be better off alone. You know me well enough, Gil. I love to fly solo when it comes to missions like this. So I won't be bringing any of the Knights to this mess. Besides, they are quite busy with their tasks, especially First Knight Matthew."
"I should ask him to take some time off since he's been going through Major Missions with no end in sight," explained Baldwin.
"You mentioned you like to fly solo, yet you invited Clement to join you. How does that work?" laughed Gillian.
"The guy has loose ends that need to be tied up, and he deserves to know where his only children went. That's why I invited him to come. But with him working under the Valkyrie and the last-minute activation, I should've known that it would be impossible."
Gillian sighed before standing up and gesturing for the Angry Man to follow him to his office. Baldwin looked at the Headmaster in confusion but stood up anyway. The two men went to the highest floor, the attic where Gillian's office resided.
"So why'd we change locations?" asked the Angry Man as he skimmed through the dozens of books all around the office.
"I needed to give you something to capture that rogue Mage. So I'll be giving everyone a special item, but I didn't want to mention it out loud because I don't know how foolproof it is," said the Headmaster, pressing both palms onto a seemingly empty wall.
The wall split in the middle, and two handles popped out where Gillian had placed his palms. The Headmaster swung open both doors to reveal a cupboard with a single shelf, much to Baldwin's disappointment.
But knowing the Old Chapel, having a single shelf doesn't mean she can't generate more items. So Gillian took out the single item on the shelf and turned to face Baldwin.
"What's that?" asked the Angry Man.
"A small side project I've been doing. I've recently got a habit of inducing Magecraft into ordinary objects using inscriptions of spells. And you are up against the Iron Canine. This item should fit him," grinned the Headmaster, handing the odd item to Baldwin.
"You got me a small cage? What am I supposed to catch with this? A mouse? I'm fighting a Metal Mage, not some random pest," said Baldwin, displeasingly looking at Gillian.
"It's a muzzle. Z and Raiyen told me this was the best thing to silence a hound, so I cast a binding spell to bind the item and a Pocket Space to store the 'captured' Mage inside," replied Gillian, still looking quite proud of his creation.
Baldwin seemed perplexed as he wasn't familiar with Gillian's terms. The Headmaster shook his head as he explained the item to poor Baldwin. Unlike the other Pure Mages, Gillian's Magecraft relies solely on the power of words and chants.
Out of the six Founders, Gillian is the only one who can use every Element in the Universe. Although, the Headmaster is not very proud of that fact since using too many Elements within a single battle can be taxing for his Elemental Energy and mind.
Gillian creates spells on the fly based on the words he can come up with during the duel. Whatever the terms used, whatever the Element is thrown out of Gillian's palms. As for the Primordial Gates, that spell is based on the stories created by humans in different walks of life.
Mavislin thought Gillian was like her, but the Aki had to explain the situation to the Valokian child. But one thing sets the Valkyrie and the Aki apart. Though Gillian can use all Elements within the Universe, he can't mix them up into a single attack.
Mavislin specializes in the Amalgamation of Elements, while Gillian soars in the Words of Elements. With the help of the rest of the Founders, Gillian had spent the last few years researching ways to surpass his limitations of Magecraft by the advice and thoughts of others.
