"I know this may be hard to believe, but we knew of Merlin's antics from the very start of the revolt. At least, that's the case for me. The people of that time who looked upon King Arthur wielding Excalibur would see the King as a man. Everyone except Mages saw through the lie."
"This begs the question, how did I get born then if the couple that ruled Camelot was two women? The explanation; Merlin the Mage. He used the flesh of the King and tried to make an artificial human with it to become the heir of the kingdom. However, the plan failed."
"The King's sister, Morgana, decided to take the artificial human for herself. The artificial human was in the form of a child needing the blood of a female to grow. That person was my mother, and I am the artificial child they created. Morgana wanted me to kill my father."
"My body isn't normal flesh, and Merlin knows it well. And that Mage didn't get his hands on the King's body. I know I can't find my body, so I haven't been able to rest in peace yet. The 'Black Knight' walking around right now is my body since King Arthur died somewhere else."
"And without the Excalibur and Avalon in Merlin's hands, it'll be difficult to get the King's body. If that's the case, I would like to get my body back from that nutcase," replied Mordred, shifting her gaze from Ysabeau to Mavislin.
"I can allow you to help out, but I don't want to risk my student's life and enter enemy territory. Please understand that I can't agree with that, especially with Midori being too young and inexperienced. Hell, she's not even stable enough to be my First Seat," replied Mavislin.
Mordred looked devastated as Mavislin shut her idea down faster than Ysabeau's roar. Meanwhile, Clement's tea brew was done, and he was busy pouring some tea for the High Queen.
"You can give information of the Fallen Knights' whereabouts and what power or skills they've got, but that's the most I'll allow. And if you still dare to speak about going with me to ground zero of the mission, I'll make sure you're not returning to Midori's mind," warned Mavislin.
The Valkyrie's death glare was worse than Ysabeau's roar or intense gaze. Mordred gulped nervously as she had no choice but to give in. The Knight of Rebellion then placed her hand onto the Map Crystal and gave Mavislin the needed information to hunt down the Fallen Knights.
The Valkyrie sprouted out her left wing and went up to pat Mordred's head using that wing. The Knight was pouting but had no choice but to follow Mavislin's orders.
"Also, I'm awake because Midori had fallen asleep not long before I took over. But after the meeting, I'm going straight to bed because I'm tired too," said Mordred, yawning.
"Thank you for the contribution, Mo-san," thanked Mavislin.
The Time Mage was in deep thought before he snapped out of his daze and looked at Z.
"What's wrong, boy?" asked the Galaxian Mage.
"Do you think that homunculus body we've been making would work?" asked Raiyen.
"We haven't worked on that thing for months! I don't know if it would still work after so much time has gone by... But even so, I can't make it activate in time to fight against a Mage, especially someone as dangerous as the King Of Knights," replied Z, thinking hard.
"It's worth a shot, but we'll do it after I deal with the Orphanage. I'm so close to completion. If I use up the whole day tomorrow, I should be done by the following day's dawn."
"Don't overdo it, alright? From what I've read in that book, pulling out more power than you've got in hand would prove devastating. You aren't alone anymore, so you'll let your missus down if you die. And you've got family too. I don't intend to stand over your grave anytime soon."
"I know it's chummy for me to tell you this, but you have to learn how to see your limits and tread lightly near them," warned Z, ruffling Raiyen's hair.
"You're right... I never did think of it like that..." answered Raiyen, glancing at Mavislin.
And for the first time in a long time, Raiyen felt an emotion that he never thought he could handle. Fear of dying. Raiyen knew what that emotion was since the other Mages mostly hated him, but this fear differed. He knew the upcoming missions would be deadly.
After all, they were taking up high-ranking levels of Mages from the fallen Congregation. But after Z mentions that Raiyen is in a relationship with Mavislin, things change drastically. More was at stake than ever before because he's got a lover now.
