"What are you doing?! Back off from there before you get hit!" yelled Ashley as Circe slipped away from his grasp.
The Valkyrie stepped forward and halted Ashley in his tracks, confusing the poor Marksman.
"Circe isn't in danger, so stay where you are to protect the other kids. I will throw up a defensive for her if the need arises but for now, stand down. I would like to see how Nasima would react to an outsider barging into a duel," replied Mavislin.
Ashley was worried for a moment but could not do anything against the Founder's words. Then, Amani tugged on Ashley's hand and pointed towards Duncan, who was outright wheezing and coughing. The Marksman quickly rushed to Duncan to see what was wrong with the child.
"He always had a problem breathing when doing outdoor activities, but I don't know why he started coughing and wheezing after Nasima threw out the fourth spell..." confessed Amani, worried about his groupmate.
Ashley laid Duncan down onto the grass with his side on the ground. The boy's airways sounded blocked but not entirely. The Marksman had no choice but to call the Valkyrie for help.
"Mav! Switch with me for guard duty and help Duncan out! He can't breathe properly," yelled Ashley, gaining Mavislin's attention.
The Valkyrie nodded and ran towards Duncan to inspect the child's condition. Right around this time, the child's coughs had finally woken up the tired Time Mage from his slumber. Mavislin was at a loss on what to do as she used her healing powers on the child.
But his lungs were alright, so what was going on? Soon, Raiyen walked over to his girlfriend and Duncan with a big yawn. Then, after hearing the increase of wheezing and coughing from the child, Raiyen glitched over to the duo.
"Get him up, now! He's having an asthma attack!" exclaimed Raiyen, forcing the child to sit up.
Mavislin nodded in confusion and followed Raiyen's lead.
"Mav, can you manipulate human organs to change their form?" asked Raiyen, looking at the Valkyrie.
Mavislin nodded while having a distraught expression on her face.
"I need you to locate the bronchial tube in Duncan and make that tube loosen up. Make that organ relax because it's now inflamed, and Duncan can't breathe properly," explained and instructed Raiyen.
The Valkyrie nodded and did as she was told. The poor boy was finally getting better, but Raiyen noticed that he was soon gasping for air. And so were the rest of the kids. Then, something clicked, and Raiyen realized why Duncan's asthma would surface suddenly.
"Have you not noticed the area's air levels have dropped considerably after Nasima went into battle?" asked Raiyen, trying to regulate his breathing.
"Nope, is there something wrong? I don't feel any difference from before," asked Mavisliin, genuinely confused.
"Yes, there seems to be something wrong with your lungs if you can't feel the difference in the air levels dropping. But I'm guessing it's because your lungs are massive," complained Raiyen.
"My lungs are massive, but I don't require air to breathe like humans. Breathing is a luxury for me. So long as I have my Elemental Core attached to my body, I can survive without a heart or a set of lungs," replied Mavislin, tilting her head to the side.
Raiyen looked at his girlfriend in horror as he realized this was the girl he had chosen to be his girl for the rest of his life.
"Well, humans need air to survive, so please keep that in mind if you work with other people who rely on air."
Meanwhile, Circe tried to get through to Nasima to stop using her Elemental Powers.
"Stop using your powers!" yelled Circe, quickly aiming an arrow to get Nasima's attention.
Rina and Nasima's duel was loud since the child was using the wind Element, and it wasn't quiet with the roaring of whirlwinds surrounding them. Thus, the Flower Mage failed to see Circe standing right at her pathway. Rina tried her best to retract her spell but was too late.
The active Wolf's Bane swarm was hurling towards Circe with maximum speeds. The child of flames was stunned as the Wolf's Bane destroyed her arrow. Circe was frozen on the spot until Nasima felt the brush of Circe's earlier arrow. The child of wind inhaled deeply.
"Sorrows of the most tragic woman in the Ulster Cycle..." chanted Nasima, quickly getting into position.
Nasima then forced the air underneath her feet to propel her to protect Circe from the oncoming attack. The child's spear changed as she used the new spear to clash against the Wolf's Bane swarm.
"Might Of Ventosus: Protection Of The Lady!" shouted Nasima, as a giant whirlwind of grey and green solidified in front of the newly summoned spear.
