"You want them to become as strong as you?" asked Ashley.
Mavislin sighed and swayed her head.
"If I could, I won't be racking my head for ways to control their powers and teach them to become the PIllars. Instead, I would use Z's method of training and force them into battle every day," said Mavislin, stretching her arms.
"Was Z that much of a slave driver? I don't recall that guy going ham on your training," asked Baldwin, raising his eyebrows.
"You weren't there to see the amount times Z forced me to my limit. I was made to create spells from my palms so much that I couldn't feel my hands anymore. That madman coerced me to practice each basic spell over a few thousand times to understand the basics of it."
"It was to the point that I knew how to summon all the spells at once without any Element being more than one another. Even without my Elemental Powers showing, I could summon Helios from behind my opponent. And I know of so many counterattacks because of Z's harsh lessons."
"Each punch and kick that Z could ever think of was used on me during the intensive days of training. That giant Igor is so nimble that I thought he defied the laws of gravity at one point in time. I think I understood why the Angry Man is angry all the time."
"Having a teacher like Z who knew no bounds of the anatomy could break your sanity and cause you to be grumpy all the time. That's one of the reasons why I got so powerful in a year. So count the kids as lucky I'm not as nuts as the Galaxian Mage of the Old Chapel," explained Mavislin.
"I went through the same training as you, Mav. So it was quite alright for me," stated Raiyen, confused.
"You're a lucky boy because if you were to join me, you'd be dead within the first week. It was a special camp for Z and me to be on the same wavelength. You were being omitted because you've got a human body and your Element is the Time Element. Z didn't know how to train you."
"Oh, come on... A change of terrain shouldn't be a problem for me. I may be human, but I still can resist quite the amount of damage before this body gives way," argued Raiyen.
"Are you sure about that? One year of hellish training to mold me into the Valkyrie I am now. You could barely surive the last time we clashed and that was in your older form. So what makes you think you could survive what Z made me go through?" asked Mavislin, smiling at Raiyen.
"Nope, the reason why the TIme Mage isn't going to survive is that he can't swim. I remember that the training plan for the Valkyrie was for the two of them to fight and train in different terrains. From the snowy mountains to the deepest part of the oceans. Impossible for you, boy."
Baldwin managed to shut Raiyen down so quickly that even the Valkyrie was impressed.
"Please don't force the kids to do that... I don't think they can survive at such areas..." whispered Bryan into Mavislin's ear.
"Don't worry about those kids; I'd never forced them to do that," said Mavislin, smiling.
"Hang on, how about her Blood Mastery? She is the original creator of that skill. Isn't it counted as an Elemental Power?" asked Bryan, remembering the running theme between the five children.
"It is, but it isn't too dependable. Although, you've just given me a great idea for the duel to come. I should test Midori on her Blood Mastery skill. I created the skill to waste away the excess blood and power within the children. So no, they can't die from blood loss."
"The actual problem is that these kids are too young. I needed them to be older to store the high volumes of blood pumping in them. And they haven't learned how to focus their blood circulation to parts of their bodies. It's a great trick during battle to enhance physical strength."
Mavislin yawned as she stood up and called the children back to the mat. Baldwin, Ashley, and Bryan were busy keeping the picnic stuff as the children lined up in a row to face Mavislin. Midori stepped out of the line as Mavislin drew out her wings. The kids were in shock.
"I hope you've rested and stretched enough, Midori. Because it's now the time for you to show me your true potential. I am giving up an afternoon to see if you can truly live up to your words of defiance. Rina may be young, but she is a seasoned fighter."
