Chapter 482 - The Ark Of Blood Mastery: Jade

She took another deep breath to figure out what to do next. First, she has to watch out for the Butterfly Girl, and now she has to dodge the flying petal blades within this duststorm. But dodging can be a pain with someone who isn't as quick as her friend.

Thus, she mauled all the petals with different slashes and turned them into one fluid motion. Then instead of waiting for the petals to be near her, Midori rushed towards each petal to disable them. Her body danced through the air as she got every petal down.

These odd florae and fauna may be as sharp as knives, but they still had the strength integrity of a typical flower. She sliced through every petal and was to clash with Rina. However, the child took Rina by surprise as Midori quickly took down the spell.

Finally, after Midori's stunning performance, Rina appeared out from the dust to attack the child. But Midori was waiting for the moment and blocked the attack using her sheath, which threw everyone off guard. After that, her blade was nowhere to be seen.

Before Rina could register, Midori used both hands to push the sheath and Rina away. But the Flower Mage was getting used to Midori's frequent clashes and could predict what she'd do next. However, the Butterfly Girl failed to notice Midori picking up the katana.

Thus, when Rina aimed for the opening area on Midori, the child moved and nearly got a nick on Rina's side. However, the Spearman Pillar barely dodged the attack had she not glanced down at the right time. But she wasn't out of the woods yet as Midori decided to follow Bryan's example.

The child recalled Tomoe and Bryan's duel. During the string of fights to break the iron fans, Midori heard a sudden rush of blood and power into the Slayer's legs. This tactic allowed Bryan to subdue and take Tomoe down by surprise. Midori thought that move was impressive.

But in this scenario, it would be difficult for her to use her legs to kick Rina away. The positioning was just not proper. And if Midori used that method to get herself out, she would be wasting a chance to take the Butterfly Girl down. So she devised another way.

Instead of her legs, Midori concentrated her blood flow to converge on her left hand. As Rina neared the girl, the child quickly balled her left hand into a fist and punched Rina in the chest. Midori could hear the sound of two ribs shattering as she did so.

Rina flew towards the 'walls' of the area and slumped down, unmoving. Soon, the area glowed, and the whole group found themselves back to the open field of the Old Chapel. Lord Atlantia's Dome dispersed, and the kids sat back on the grass floor, finally relieved to rest.

Meanwhile, Ashley and Z wanted to step in to stop the fight, seeing that Rina had been hurt from the last attack. But to their horror, Rina recovered and decided to strike Midori with nothing but bloodlust in her mind. The Spearman succeeded as she landed a wound on Midori's arms.

The child had tried to deflect the oncoming strike but missed since the spear bounced off the blade. Midori then allowed the blood to cover the sword of the katana in dark red. She lifted the blade to point at Rina. However, the crimson-stained blade still had blood dripping down from it.

"Earlier, someone said that they didn't truly understand what Blood Mastery is, right? Well then, let me show you how I use my Blood Mastery. After all, I was the first one to have this skill. So, please don't worry about my blood level. I've got more than plenty to spare," said Midori.

'Let's see how you fare against the master of Blood Mastery. Because, unlike the children over there, I'm the original one. This means to say that whatever tricks that the rest can do, I can do it better."

"Don't get so cocky, little girl. You're still a hundred years away from defeating me!" shouted Rina, readying her spear.

She smiled as her blade started to glow in bright emerald green. She then vanished from her spot and appeared beside Rina.

"Blood Mastery, Jade," murmured Midori as she swung her blade at Rina.

Rina dodged and landed next to Ashley by accident. Unfortunately, the area that Rina had been standing on was broken and had roots growing out of ground cracks. Rina quickly ran away from the crowd and to open space as she got ready to block another attack.

"Since you like explosions... How about I'll give you a taste of your own medicine?!" asked Midori, turning to Rina slice her once more.
