"Are you sure? The Time Element can go out of hand easily. Not as much as the Corrupted Element but still, it's dangerous..."
"Start slow then, don't pour all at once. Like when you were training. But this time, you have three times the amount of Elemental Power."
"Alright then, I'm ready," replied Raiyen, nodding at Mavislin.
The Valkyrie shot out her palm and the emblem of the Barren Pillars glowed. Her entire arm was soo engulfed with golden light before the emblem shot out and onto Raiyen's back.
"I hereby grant you the title of the Dementor Pillar, Raiyen Harmony!" yelled Mavislin, as the emblem glowed brightly on Raiyen's back.
He felt power shot up his spine, nothing he had ever absorbed before. He thought his spine was about to get snapped in half with such an amount of power surging through him. He could barely stand but had no choice now, it was time for the preparation to begin.
Back at the Old Chapel, Tomoe and Bryan had resumed training by continuing their duel. Both were agile so it was going to be another long fight. But this duel won't be like the previous one as Tomoe was going to unleash his twin weapons.
The same way his owner is a proud assassin using dual daggers, the same way this fox will have twin weaponry. If Bryan were to duel with Raiyen, he would feel that he was dueling Tomoe as well. For some strange reason, Tomoe and Raiyen fighting style feels similar but is different.
As Bryan leaped into the air to dodge Tomoe's low blows, he changed his counterattack. Instead of striking at Tomoe's head, Bryan held his breath and mustered all his strength in his legs to go downwards. It may not have shattered the blade but it did break the ground beneath.
Because of that action, Tomoe's blade was now at the mercy of Bryan's feet. This made the Kitsune's face wide open for attack. But the fox was quick to read the situation. Tomoe lessened his grip and shifted his body position to Bryan's left side from the front side.
When Bryan lowered his guard and lessened the pressure of his legs on the blade, Tomoe instantly flipped the situation to his favor. The fox gripped the blade and swung it upwards, causing the Slayer to fly into the air. But Bryan's eyes widened as he glanced at Tomoe's hands.
He wasn't holding onto his katana anymore. Bryan lost his cool and panicked as the fox had deceived him.
"Time to bring out these bad boys," smirked Tomoe, snapping his fingers.
Unaware of what Tomoe has hidden, Bryan held his blade above his head and slammed it down with everything he had. This clashed with Tomoe's hidden weapons, causing a massive shock wave that reverberated throughout the Old Chapel's training grounds.
"Baldwin, go supervise the two clowns down there. Get a move on, before the Old Chapel decides to unleash her wrath," ordered Gillian, to the Angry Man.
"Fine..." grumbled Baldwin, climbing out of the window using his shadowed form.
The Angry Man landed on the sidelines as the two were stuck in their positions. Baldwin blinked a few times as he looked at those twin weapons Tomoe wielded. His legend should not have allowed Tomoe to wield such weapons. Something was wrong with this Familiar.
Either Tomoe went off to learn this or Raiyen had tweaked his Familiar combat history. Because Tomoe was wielding a pair of dark blue, large, metal fans. It should have been a Tengu, a Heavenly Sentinel, to wield these weapons, not a fox spirit.
But then again, Tomoe was the embodiment of Japanese folklore. So perhaps on one of those Time Frame Hopping Raiyen went through, he might have learned more about Japanese martial arts. But Baldwin has yet to see Tomoe use these fans.
If Tomoe truly knows how to use these fans, then Bryan would have to switch his style drastically. Because the Japanese War Fans are monsters when it comes to defensive moves. Bryan was relying on Tomoe's weapons to keep him up in the air. A single push was enough to get rid of the Slayer.
No... If Tomoe steps out of the way now, Bryan will be creating a huge hole in the ground.
"Slayer! Relax now and back away from Tomoe!" ordered Baldwin.
Bryan listened and backed away as Tomoe moved out of his spot. Bryan landed on the grassy floor while Tomoe covered his mouth with one of his fans. The other was covering his abdomen. The fans had white butterflies imprinted on them.
"Looks like you got some help from the Mage over there. But the next part of this training has just become more interesting," said Tomoe, tilting his head to the side.
