Chapter 1 - Meeting Inés

Inés' POV

My name is Inés Rodriguez. I am 26 years old. I am a beautiful Latina with brown eyes, brunette and a great body. I have a great job as a translator at the Spanish embassy in Nigeria. My body is a perfect 8. And I am living la vida loca[1].

My biggest problem is, finding a great guy. I have been with many of my countrymen when I was back in Colombia. From Adriano to Rodrigo to Michael to Ricardo and so on that I got tired and sought out my boss to move me away from Colombia. Luckily, there had just been an opening in Nigeria so, he asked if I was interested in the position. I said yes as I had read and heard so much about African men. I thought it would be different with them but I can tell you this for free, men are all the same. Don't be deceived by the colour of their skin.

When I arrived Nigeria's federal capital, Abuja, I met this handsome hunk named, Bamidele. He was tall, fair skinned, ripped (Oh! I have a gift of seeing through clothes and skin: X-ray vision), was about 6ft 5inches or more, had the sexiest bright smile I ever saw and I already knew I wanted to die in his arms.

I know, I know, I have something I call the FBS (Fine Boy Syndrome) and I have tried to stay away from them but I keep falling deeper into the abyss of fine guys.

So, I walk up to him and looked at his name tag that spelled BAMIDELE then I tried to pronounce it. His laugh, oh his laugh. His laugh felt like an earthquake in my body that I fell forward towards him. The feel of his warm skin on mine felt like that moment in a movie where the camera zooms into the characters then does a 360 degree shot to catch every action.

I fell in love instantly. Then he said, "I'm Bamidele. Bah-Mee-Day-Lay. But my friends call me Dele: that's Day-Lay." I repeated after him, "Day-Lay". Then he said, "I've never heard my name sound so sexy before." I jumped off his arms turned round and spotted the toilet. I dropped everything in my arms and ran towards it. I think I urinated the whole Amazon river. That was how much I fell instantly and felt deeply for Dele.

By the time I came out, he was standing by the door to the ladies with a smile on his face and holding an identity card then said, "Hi Inés." I wanted to run back into the toilet but my legs felt like lead. I said hi back to him with my voice shaking like an amateur violin. Then he asked where my phone was and handed my bags to me. Without taking my eyes off him, I searched for my phone but was pricked by something sharp in there. "Ouch!", I said without taking my eyes off him. He took my finger and stuck it in his mouth. Fam, I knew I was dead at that point. The way he sucked gently while licking the blood off felt like foreplay. I knew I was whipped.

He took my bag and opened it then took my phone out and typed his numbers then saved them. He said, "I have saved my numbers in your phone. Call me at any time and for anything you may need while you are here. Welcome to Nigeria Inés."

Thank you God.

I smiled and said thank you then slowly turned around and walked towards the door that said "EXIT".

When I got outside, I saw the official sent from the embassy with my name boldly written on a cardboard paper.

He took me in a vehicle to the embassy where I was to check in and given a package then taken to my accommodation.

I was taken to a beautiful two bedroom apartment in a mini estate meant for expatriates. I opened the care package and took out the sim card then followed the instructions. It was all set after that. I put everything down in their places then called the phone number written on a card in the care package.

Me: Hello

Person: Hello, I'm sorry, who is this? I don't have this number.

Me: Errrrrmmm... I'm Inés Rodriguez and this number was in my care package as the person I can reach for anything I need...

Person: Oh! Miss Rodriguez. I am deeply sorry. I ought to have saved the number before putting it in your package. Lo siento[2].

Me: It's okay but my stomach isn't.

Person: Are you having a stomach ache?

Me: No, I am hungry

Person: Hahahahahahaha! I am sorry. I am not thinking clearly. Of course you must be hungry. I will send the driver over to you to take you to a Mexican restaurant on Ademola Adetokunbo crescent in Wuse II. Also pay attention to the roads because after a while, you will be given a car to take yourself around. Will that be fine?

Me: Sure. But I am surprised that there's Mexican food here.

Person: Hahahaha. Everything you can think of. Even men. Hahahahaha.

Me: Hahahahahaha! I like you already. We've been talking for so long but I don't even know your name.

Angie: Oh! My bad. I am so forgetful. Call me Angie.

Me: Okay Angie. I'll hang up first. I will call you after filling my growling stomach. Hahahaha.

Angie: Be careful out there but have fun. Bye

Me: Hahahahaha. Bye.

By the time I hung up, the driver was already outside.

I quickly brushed my hair and picked up my handbag with the debit card I was given and headed out.

On our way, I looked out the window and was enjoying the scenery when I remembered Dele.

I dialed his number on impulse but before I could hang up, I heard, "Hello."
