"And the human's believe that their Earth is flat!!"
"Ok, I get it Shadow! The humans are weird and gullible," I say to my twin brother.
Shadow Osere, Heir to the family throne. As of right now, the ONLY dragon I can trust.
"But listen, my dear brother, what if I just visit for a few minutes? The least they can do is call their people shields."
"You mean military? A military who so happens to have all SORTS of weapons!"
Shadow bit his lips and made a book appear from black smoke. He flipped through the pages and pointed his finger on a paragraph:
"Anyone willing to betray a royal family is a traitor. A traitor is a thief of power and a coward. Those who oppose the rules shall hereby pay the ultimate punishment: death."
"Death? Aren't we immortal?" I say with a puzzled look.
"Father warned us that eternal life is torturous enough. Imagine death? If you go out there, you'll regret it," Shadow sighed and placed a hand on my bare shoulder, "I care about you and I love you. I just don't want to see my little sister get hurt."
I looked down to the floor and slowly looked up to meet my brother's crimson gold eyes.
I place a hand on his cheek, "I'm going to be fine. The plan is going to work, and I'll be set free. Dear yang, if I fail, I'll make the best of it and prove father wrong."
I shapeshifted into a royal guard and made my way to the bedroom door. I looked back at my brother, he didn't say anything and turned away.

I made it passed the guards. Passed the maids, the butler, and now, I have to get past the gate.
The gate stood more than a thousand feet tall and was carved with many sealing spells from every book known to the universe. Any dragnorak that dares go near the mighty gate will be immediately exposed. And anybody who tries to break the gate will be put to sleep by force.
How do I know this? I've tried every way.
Except for one thing: Flying.

I turned my head to the right than to the left. If there is one thing that I know, it's that I'm the best flyer in the kingdom.
I shapeshifted back to normal and released my wings. If you want to know the details, my wings spread about 6 feet, pretty average for a 5'8" mistress. My scales on the outside blend in with the forever night sky and the smooth skin on the inside reflected like mirrors. I have bones sticking out from each corner, all gold from an incident I had as a child.
I check my surroundings again and harshly flapped my wings. I sonic boomed for the first 500 ft. The alarms sounded and I speed even more. 400 left, 300 left, the guards draw near, 200 left, 100 left.
Now, I sing:
"One day when the sun rising,
I'll be on my planet fighting,
But until these gates are open,
I just wanna live this moment"
The guards slowed down and stopped. They froze in place as I sang the tune of freedom.
"And until I climb this mountain,
I will be fighting for this moment...."
I crossed over the gate and landed hard on my feet. I looked back at the Castle, at the guards, and at the place I used to call home.
I placed a hand gently on the gate, and sang one more time,
"One day when the light is glowing
I'll be in my castle golden
But until the gates are open
I just wanna feel this moment..."
I made a cloak appear out of thin air and started to walk away. I started to think about how easy it was. My voice is good, but it shouldn't be that good. Compared to a siren, the guards should've put up a fight, royalty or not.
I stopped walking and turned back. I was right, the guards broke from the trance and were on their knees. They bowed down to the general that helps out with the Osere Royal Army. General Haidi Tsuki.
"Get back here Star. You know that your father will order us to hunt you down, it doesn't have to be like this."
"It's too late, I'm already passed the gate, and, my mind is set. I will find a planet to stay in, and find a way to prove father wrong!"
"You know the punishments! Just get back in here!"
"Never! I'm sorry General, but haven't you ever had a dream?"
No response.
I quickly put my hands in the air and formed a giant ball of light. In a matter of seconds, I disappeared.
The general stayed still. He knew that if he tells the King what his daughter did, he'll have her tortured and cursed.
So he did the only thing that could stall her some time: Pretend he wasn't aware of her escape.
General Tsuki sighed, "Star....."

I teleported to a random destination. There are three planets in front of me. One looked dead, the other had the humans, and the last one looks astonishingly beautiful. Of course, a princess has her standards, so, I went with the gorgeous planet.
As I made my way inside the atmosphere, I was blown away by the sight. Flowers bloom in every direction and the water was crystal clear. The sky was blue and only one star shines. And in the middle of where I was at, I saw a giant tree. The tree gave off immense power, as if, the tree itself gave life to the planet.
I landed as fast as I could to see for myself if the tree really is the source. And to my surprise, it was.
For the first time in my life, I felt free. I felt strong.
But for now, I need to focus and create a barrier to hide me from this place and trust me, it won't be easy.
I remove my cloak, and before it touches the ground, it turns to ashes. I motion my right-hand left and right, and a spellbook appears. This spellbook has all sorts of magic circles and barriers for both protection and defense. I flipped through the ancient pages and stopped where it was titled, "Invisible Bubble". It was an invisibility barrier that hides everything inside, and on the outside, it will appear as if nothing is inside. Although, whoever enters the bubble will see the truth. To fix this, blood from the sorcerer must be running through the source of power in a given land.
As I read, I prepared the ingredients: cursed mushrooms, see-through crystal, a feather from a phoenix, a jar of my blood, and most importantly, the ashes of the forest guardian.
"Hide me, hide the sea. Hide the trees, protect the.....bees? Wait-" I flushed as I realized that I was reading the wrong phrase, "Ahem! Serpent fog and Chameleon sight, I command the hidden flames. I blend the mist, I mix the light, Refract around, surrounding the tree, with all my might."
I spill my blood around the tree, that was mixed with the other ingredients, and chanted the phrase one more time, "Serpent fog and Chameleon sight, I command the hidden flames. I blend the mist, I mix the light, Refract around, surrounding the tree, with all my might."
The tree grew even bigger and spread it's branches in great lengths. Rays of yellow light sparkled around the planet and then invisible bubbles formed in the sky. It took a few minutes, but the planet was soon consumed by these bubbles and light shined blindly. I covered my eyes, no shielded, the light was sure to permanently cause damage.

"Your majesty," General Tsuki bowed before the King of darkness and proceeded to kneel.
"Where is my daughter? She didn't show up for her annual fitness exam," the King's voice was rough, but you can tell that he was concerned.
'She literally breaks the records every time.....' Tsuki thought, "Her majesty wasn't in her room, and her twin stated that she was going on a night stroll by the nightmare lakes."
"Call Shadow to the throne room, I wish to speak to him myself."
The General got up and bowed again. He headed straight towards the twin's bedroom, worried that the Big Plan might be cut short.
"Shadow King Osere, you better have a speech for his majesty, 'cause I swear to Yin-"
"You swear to Yin that you'd sworn to protect my sister with all your life?" Shadow walked out of the umbra of his own shadow, book in hand, "Don't worry, I'll stall us more time..."

I slowly opened my eyes, and notice that everything remained the same. I looked at the sky, rainbow hues surrounded it. Did it work?
Out of nowhere, I heard something from the bushes.
"Who's there?" I pull out a small double-sided blade, I don't scare easily, but since this is the first time on my own, I have my guard up.
"You won't hurt me, scratch that, you ~can't hurt me."
A young man around my age came out of the bush. He walked towards me and made a rose appear in thin air.
"Who are you? You're clearly not royalty!"
"Royalty? Sweatheart, I ran away a long ago, I've been living here for 5 years already. In fact, who are you?!"
He placed the rose in my hair and stepped back.
"I'm Starline, I ran away a few hours ago and found this planet-"
"And then decide to place a spell on it. Babe, let me tell you, freedom is exciting, but it comes with consequences. Please tell me you're aware of that!"
I put my blade away and looked into his eyes, "I've been waiting for ages to be on my own. In case you haven't noticed, I don't like being treated like a princess! You can cut the act, er."
"They call me Agony. I used to be the Prince of the Underworld, " he held up my chin, "I don't treat a lady like trash, just be grateful I didn't kill you on the spot."
His voice sounded wicked. He did have the power to wipe me out. I should watch my tongue. But at the same time.
"You didn't let me finish," I slapped his hand away, " I am Starline Osere, heir to the Osere Royal Army. Queen of sorcery and a warrior who wields the Cursed Excalibur. I have been locked up in my kingdom since the day I was born! I have been waiting for this day to arrive, and I swear to Yin if you get in my way, I will not hesitate."
