She gave them a bored expression, indicating that she did not care, but they told her that they are serious about it.
They even suggested that she let Ethan follow along to avoid misunderstanding, as long as she dropped by and let the boy know that she's safe and sound.
After explaining to Ethan, as expected, he didn't mind it one bit. He even proposed that she go alone and thank him, that he wouldn't misunderstand anything.
