Looks like asking him was a waste of time... Why did I even bother...?
Shumizu who had just gotten back from another mission continued her thoughts after her inquiry towards Hideo which was done a few days ago now, the only thing that she knew was Ten was doing all this for a reason...
And why is there suddenly a little girl that looks exactly like Yui?
Everything that's been happening lately is just getting me confused...
Not only did Yui suddenly look like she was now a mother to her eyes, Shumizu started opening up to the others about her past, and a sudden direct attack from one immortal.
Three things happened all in just a short span of time...
These were the things that drove Shumizu to start her own investigation regarding the recent events that took place around her. But what made her the most curious was the little girl that Yui had suddenly brought with her, Shami.
We need to hurry up and find a way to deal with Yui's problem as soon as possible or we'll be in trouble if Ten decides to comeback and attack again...
This situation was now a big problem due to the risk of a direct enemy attack to their headquarters because of Yui-- who is the leader of the first team, this task that they need to perform to merge Yui's body and Shami's into one, if not found could be the end of the Tokyo branch...
The damage this would cause could cause the whole city to fall into chaos due to the lack of order when it came to making sure that there weren't any immortals causing trouble, other than allowing Ten's plan to be achieved.
I hope Hideo's superiors could find something that could help us...
Shumizu had now entered the dormitory area, feeling nervous because of the results of the search of the higher ups.
She slowly walked back to her room without going into the living room like she usually would everytime she comes back from a mission.
Meanwhile, Yui's servants who have been guarding her from a far this whole time were also doing some research on their own whenever they weren't on a mission or guarding their current master.
The only lead they got was a ritual that was needed to be done and no other useful information, no description about what the ritual needed and when it perform it.
"This is better than nothing" One of the servants said upon looking through their own record vault which was located deep in the mountains-- So deep that it was impossible for any human to reach it even if the said human could use magic.
With a barrier to protect it, only the members of the vampire clan that is currently serving Yui could get to it since it was the kind of barrier that vampires would use to hide their place that they live in.
Now with the important lead in their hands, they headed back to the E.I.M.D dorms where Yui had been relaxing in her own room as Shami played with the other foxes.
*Slide*
One of the said vampires slowly opened the door of her room before bowing in front of Yui who was now staring at her expecting that she entered the room for something important.
"What is it?"
"Master, We got a lead."
"I see... Let me hear it then..."
The vampire noded before she once again spoke: "We went through our own vault of records and we found out that there was a ritual that's needed for the merge. But we didn't find out about what the ritual needed and how to perform it or when to do it."
Another ritual, huh? I'm not even surprised anymore.
It looks like almost every single thing in this world in terms of magic needs a ritual.
"Good work."
With another bow from the girl, she left the room to do her duty of changing shifts with another one of the vampires who has been guarding the door to Yui's room.
Yui's expression turned serious as the servant left her chamber, now thinking deeply regarding the said ritual.
Now... How are we supposed to find out more about this ritual...?
From all the knowledge the she possesed in terms of magic, she started to go through every single bit of that knowledge...
This didn't give her any information regarding a ritual for retrieving a split entity that has mana in it that was seperated from the main body due to a circumstance.
The lead that she had gotten wasn't enough for her to figure out the proceedure and materials that they needed for the aforementioned ritual.
I can't figure it out... I guess I'll just tell Hideo that a ritual was needed and no more additional information was found...
Seemingly giving up on the thought of trying to figure things out herself, she resorted to informing the middle-aged man the information that she had just received.
"A ritual, huh?" Hideo tried his hardest to also try and remember any rituals that could be used on Shami to merge her with Yui- which is the main body in between them.
This time he remembers one that COULD be used but only on a night of a full moon and in the middle of a forest. But it was risky since the "main body" would only have one chance to perform it and if it fails, it could burn down a whole forest due to a fox flame that could appear after the said act failed.
This sounds like a pain...
Yui's reaction to the risk part wasn't possitive as she heard it come out of Hideo's mouth, this made her think before she decided on wether or not she'd perform it without worrying to much or not.
This was a hard decision due to that huge risk...
It wasn't something she could just do without a second thought because of the destruction it could cause the moment she fails to perform this difficult ritual.
Her dicision had been unsure and yet the feeling of worry about failing didn't subside within her heart, it was just too much to just not worry about when it came to what-if she were to actually fail to perform it.
She might not be able to contain the aforementioned flames when they show up-- that was the part that she couldn't stop herself from worrying about.
After gathering all of her courage, she finally spoke her answer: "I'll do it even if it's risky."
"All right... There's still a few more days before the next full moon.
Prepare yourself as much as possible when you can."
Hideo didn't have a choice on the matter due to the fact that if Yui were to be killed, they'd have to deal with the immortals that cause trouble without someone powerful...
This was too much of a risk to just ignore.
