Chapter 9 - Chapter 9 [A Childhood Memory That Had Returned]

Currently now on her third activity on her schedule, Kiara had now gotten the hang of being an Idol, a activity that her parents had forced upon her suddenly. She was in a cubicle of the restroom of a radio station that she had just gotten a guest appearance on when she suddenly started to think about several things...

"Maybe being an idol isn't bad after all..."

Was what she thought as she started to accept this fate of hers and she also started have fun on every single job she got on her weekly schedule that made her come to the agency twice a week-- on Wednesday and Friday to be more exact, little does she know that her mother was hiding something that could potentially change the way that she sees her mother who she thought was strict on her ever since her childhood... From the way that she was mostly in their mansion back in England and not allowed to step outside without permission to the way that she was taken to school by their family driver and that was the only time that she had been allowed outside aside from special circumstances such as family gatherings and times when her mother would take her shopping for things such as clothes, shoes, and many other things.

She was treated like she was actually of royal blood-- A princess of a kingdom or of noble blood.

"Why was a treated a princess by my parents. when I was a kid..?"

As she started getting curious about the reasons her parents treated her the way that they did, Kiara started to realize that something was actually been obvious this whole time...

And that was the fact that her mother-- who was named Rosaria didn't tell her the reason why she wasn't allowed to enter that one room in their English home back in England, she had only been told that she would be punished severely if she even touches the doorknob leading to the said room.

"It's just too strange... Ofcourse that would bother me... What is in that room anyway...?"

Her imagination ran wild as she thought of many things that could be inside that room that her mother forbid her from entering...

From possible secrets that her family had to many other crazy things...

"Could my family actually have a secret that I wasn't allowed to find out about...?"

That might actually be possible... Or was it actually a personal secret that mother couldn't let me find out about...

Wait... Don't tell me... We aren't vampires, are we? No, that's impossible... I mean, We aren't affected by sunlight at all...

She started to fear this fact, this was an impossible to be true but she was bothered by this, she couldn't stop thinking about all the possibilities of what could be in that room even after she had gotten outside of the restroom.

"Are you ready to go, Ms. Kiara?" Kotori asked, spotting the pink-haired girl through the restroom's door.

I almost forgot that I still had one more thing left on my schedule for today...

"Yes, Let's go."

From all the thinking that she had been doing about her mother's mysterious room, she had almost forgotten that she still had one more activity on her schedule for the day. She was now suspicious and not curious of her mother's reaction to how she was stopped from going to that one room in their house in England that she almost forgotten until just now while she was using the toilet.

I can't believe I'm suspecting my own parent that raised me... I shouldn't be doing this but I just couldn't help it... I really need to find out what her reason was...

***

I guess It's about time that I told my daughter about the secret that I've been avoiding to tell her about... She's old enough now to understand, after all...

Rosaria awaited the arrival of her only child and daughter, Kiara who was just about to arrive from her idol activities. With her feet reaching the front of their home's entrance, she prepared herself mentally as she started to think how she would start explaining that "secret" that was inside that one room that Kiara wasn't allowed to enter-- nor was allowed to open the door to peak from the outside.

*click*

Kiara's arrival had finally come, with the door slowly opening Rosaria attempted to prepare and calm herself for her secret's reveal.

"Kiara?"

"Mother?"

Mother looks tense... Did something happen while I was out?

"We need to talk... It's something that I need to tell you now that you're old enough. This is something that I should've told you about long ago..."

Rosaria started to lead her to the living room where one she started to reveal what was in that "room"...

"W-What is it, Mother?" Kiara started to stutter from the tension that her mother was causing inside the room that she led into.

"Do you remember that room in our house in England?"

Looks like I'm finally gonna find out about that room...

Kiara sighed before she replied still stuttering her words: "Y-Yes, that room that you told me not to go into?"

Her mother noded as a reply, taking some photo albums from a shelf inside the same room, dust started to fall off of it as it was opened slowly then showed to her daughter. Kiara's began to widen to what she saw on the photos that was inside the aforementioned album....

Inside was photos of her own mother holding awards that she had won at piano recitals when she was the same age as herself with many other ones from singing competitions from many years ago.

"I don't think me and you're father told you anything but... I was also a prodigy just like you. I'm sorry for hiding this from you, we just didn't want you to be a child that was cocky about being a prodigy like me... And for that room... That's where I hid all of the awards that I got from the competitions that I entered."

Kiara couldn't believe that her guesses were completely wrong from the truth in front of her, with shaking hands she slowly put down the album on the coffee table in front of her without saying as much as a word to her mother who had been hiding something for her own good.

Please don't be mad...

The both of them were completely silent until Kiara started to speak breaking the silence in the room with now a shaky tone in her voice: "M-Mother... I'm sorry..."

"Huh?"

She isn't mad, is she...? We only did this for her own good...

"I started suspecting you... I'm so sorry..." Kiara's eyes began to be teary as she covered them in attempt to hide that she had began to break down in tears.

"Suspect me of what?" Rosaria was surprised to Kiara's sudden behavior, only being able to inquire the reason why her daughter started had suspecting her.

"I started thinking in a restroom cubicle earlier... I started remembering that you stopped me from going in that room... And for some reason I started to think of stupid things as the reason for you keeping the reason why I couldn't enter that room a secret..."

"Oh Kiara... I'm so sorry... I just didn't want you to have a bad personality... When you find out that we're the same..."

"It's alright, Mother... You and Father did it for my own good anyway... I understand..."

With her own mother's secret now revealed to her, the weight of the foolish accusations that she had placed upon her mother had disappeared.
