"Director Xue, can't I come to your office without you thinking that something may have happened?!"
"I'm sorry if it came off that way. Please have a seat"
The middle aged man smiled apologetically to Duan Yili, who didn't return a smile back, she pulled back the leather chair to sit across from Director Xue.
"Tell me what you know about an employee Liu Rachael."
"Director Duan, this is under the table, you know that I can't release information about an employee unless Chairman Duan specifically requests for it."
"Can you tell me or do I have to go out and look for the answers myself?!!"
Director Xue began sweating, he didn't want to offend Director Duan because she already knew certain things about him that she could use if he didn't do what she asked. With a heavy heart, he reached for the folder inside the secured cabinet in his office and handed it to Duan Yili, who began flipping through the pages of the folder.
"Thank you Director Xue, I will see myself out."
She didn't wait for the other man's reply, before dashing out of the office in search of the key that would unlock her son's secret.
Inside the office, Director Xue had his head lowered in shame, knowing that he had violated the company's policy to please one of the board of directors.
