James, honey, I think my water just broke. Twirl Mahoney was about to give birth to her long awaited baby boy. She was already the mother of an 8 year old little girl by the name of Lily. Little did anyone know but on this day someone special would be born and Earth would never be the same. Upon arrival to the hospital Twirl had checked in and made sure everyone knew she was coming and so was this baby. James, who seems to be in a state of euphoria is speechless as he sees his first son born into the world. What he didn't know is.that we would raise and nurture a fine young man in only a way that he could.
James Mahoney born in Tuskegee, Alabama a man who is known to be good with his hands. Believe it or not James' family probably believe those hands could do anything because James never stopped and never stop trying to make sure his family was safe secure and well funded. He would be the Pinnacle of what the black community expect their fathers to be; smart, down to earth, loving, kind, patient and most of all humble.
Twirl Mesere was no stranger to hurt pain or disappointment. In her house which she most times referred to it was her place to be who she wasn't in public. lacking control as a young child and adolescent Twirl had become so inwardly focused that she somehow got lost in the real world. She was the financial manager, disciplinarian, chief investigator and head of what I like to call the Watergate Foundation. In other words liar and content supervisor or by today's standard spin artist extraordinare.
"What are you going to name him", the nurse asked Twirl's brother chimes in, Wilson. Wilson!? yeah yeah her brother replys. So in that moment little baby boy then became Wilson.
