A man stood up and offered his hand. "The bath awaits." His strong feature soften into a warm smile. Behind him was a wall painted with unexplainable pattern.
The man's face was funny, his white skin is covered with a colorful thick paints. But you cannot help but to be amazed of his extraordinary looks. A surprisingly small mouth under that tall bridged nose. His eyes, beneath those snow white brows, were a round red eyes, framed by a long snowy lashes, so long that they seemed like a silk.
She cannot help but to reach the man's hand. The man's smooth finger was scratching her hand. Wait, something is scratching her hands.
Ania tried to open her eyes, but the twigs and the sharp leaves made her close them again. She tried to move her legs and arm, but the pieces of twigs and leaves were poking her. Then she realized where she really was. She was in a large nest where there was a big egg lying beside her.
After she was clawed by that Geraki, she tried everything to make the grip loosen even for a little bit. She even tried to bite it with her teeth, but the claws were made of calcium that it only caused her teeth to hurt.
After a lot of failed attempts, she close her eyes and think of other possible plans. But she fell asleep and only woke up now.
"Crack" The egg is starting to crack. It looks like that crazy, old, demon bird is gonna make her a food for her baby. This nest is almost a thousand meters above and the egg is cracking!
Each and every pieces of the shell is slowly falling. The beak that is already outside the small hole is finally breathing the first air outside the egg,
"Chirp."
The beak is tapping the shell until the hole is enough for the small head to come out. Soon a small wet chick move out of the shell, finally showing its first appearance to the world. But with this, Ania wanted to cry. If it will saw her, she will become a dead meat.
Despite of the thousand meters distance from the ground, Ania still jumped. Like in the movie, a free fall was made. But unlike in the movie a loud crack, shaaa, and bang was heard. The twigs and the branches were broken as she fall.
"Oh look, blood." The pointed part of a broken branch is now stuck inside her stomach. This cause the blood of hers to flow. It even got bigger when she decided to move it out. Plus a broken bone and an open flesh, what more do you need to die? But thanks to her father, this body can easily heal itself even if was a long and deep wounds. It was gruesome to watch as the blood flows out of her but was also satisfying how her body is slowly generating back to her original skin, without even leaving a small scar.
"Chirp, chirp, chirp!"
The small chick is now calling its mommy. If it will come now, then it will surely see her. This baby hawk's keen eyes are still to mature and to totally be used, but the mother of this hawk is a different story.
Ania immediately left the place and found herself lost in the forest. She's walking in circles seeing that a familiar mark was passed by her for a several times now. Tired of the constant walking, she decided to sit on the ground.
"Stop eating that and start picking herbs!"
"Master will be waking up soon."
"Stop it..."
Ania peek at them. Her left eye immediately turned red. There, a three demons were spotted by her. They are the rabbit type demon. Those rabbit type were nothing similar to a rabbit except for their fur. They are a human size rabbit. They are a three eyed creature with a sharp and pointy horn above their heads. They acted like a human especially when they walk.
The two are picking plants while the big fat one is eating all of it. They all have worn the same clothes.
"Humans..."
The biggest one stopped eating and starting to sniff the air. Its little nose twitched and wiggles. Its sensitive nose smells something new to the air...
"Nah! It's just your smell"
The brown one also sniff the air but found nothing.
"No. There's really a human scent."
The white one insists. It uses its large, hind legs to hop into the ground as it keeps sniffing.
"Oh it was you."
The white one pointed at the black one. The clothes it was wearing after all was stolen from the humans.
Ania gave a sigh of relief. She almost thought that it was her scent. She decided to leave the place to avoid being discovered.
"Pa."
Ania wince as she stepped in an old stick causing it to snap. The sensitive ears of the rabbit easily heard it. With the strong, hind legs, they jump towards her.
"Humans!"
The dark red eyes of them looked at her, sharply. "Show yourself!"
Ania, who has no other choice, showed herself to the rabbit. They are in their battle position, ready to kill her anytime. They all surrounded her while examining her.
"Oh, your a demon."
Seeing that the eye of Ania is red, their killing intent vanished and became a friendly one. Their face is now all smiles as if they never planned to kill her.
"You should've said something."
"Lean one, where did you come from?"
"Somewhere. I was clawed by a Geraki to fed her baby."
Ania said . "Then I got lost..." and found you crazy demons here. Ania wanted to add but seeing that they are friendly and harmless to her (for now) she didn't bother offending them.
"Those ugly hawk! They never really care who it was. Always grabbing someone."
"Do you have a place to go now?"
"Uhmm... actually no."
"Aha!" The black one shouted. It whispered something to the white one.
"Remember that..."
Ania only heard that when the two of them turn their back on her.
"So? Want to come with us?
The white rabbit said after talking to the black one.
"Where?"
"There."
The black one pointed the mansion above, happily.
"To our master's house."
