"It's late." Aurora stated. But with only that sentence alone Cole start panicking once again. He tightened his hand onto her waist. Unwilling to let go. Ignoring the look in her eye or her reaction. Pretending he didn't hear any word she said just now. He doesn't want to let her go. Fearing if he let her go, he won't be able to see her tomorrow. Will today just be another nightmare for him?
Seeing Cole kept his silence but only tightening his hold on her, she can only sighed.
"Cole..."
"Call me something else."
"..."
She really felt helpless seeing this side of him.
"Dear, it's really late at the moment. Your P.A must have been frantic looking for you." She tried to coax him and at the same time trying to make him loosen his hold. This man really doesn't know his strength.
"I'm coming with you." He was determined. This time, no matter what he will stick to her like a glue. Aurora rub her forehead. Trying to think of a way. Apparently, looking at the situation at the moment, it doesn't seem she have any other choice than to let him stay with her at her resort.
"Let's go to my place." It would be fine. She hope.
Cole face brighten up and loosen his hold only to hold onto her hand, intertwined it with his. He let her lead the way while grinning like an idiot.
After what seems like 30 minutes of walking into the darkness and nagging Cole, they finally arrive and were greeted with a house that are fitting for resort. It's not too big and not too small. Just nice and perfect. Fitting for a place to retreat from the chaotic life. Not far from that house, he can see another one. He remembered that she mention that this side of the beach is her property. He frowned.
Aurora somehow sense his mood is depleting, look up and saw his gaze are looking at the other house. She had a feeling he's not happy with what he sees.
"It's my brother's house. And you will see 9 more during the day. It's dark so you can't see it."
The frowned near his eyebrow didn't fade. It deepens.
"Brother? I thought you don't have any. I remember you have a younger sister. That old grumpy, heartless, ungrateful old man never mention you had a brother." He asked. They were just about to enter the house but he stopped her. The look on his face demands for explanation. Aurora found it fascinating to hear how he calls his grandfather. If it was her, she would added another curse word to it. Without hesitation she would politely say 'damn old man' in front of him. But guessing by Cole's personality, he's not the type to curse anyone. Not in a crude blunt way like her who's seen a lot in life.
"Aurora,,," he called. He thought she was ignoring him when he didn't hear any replies. Aurora smile before patting his cheek. She open the front door with her hand still in his. Pulling him along despite looking disgruntled when she didn't answer hus question. But the moment he step inside the house, he was greeted with 10 men standing in the living room. Some look bulky and grumpy, while some look...look...tolerable. And he saw Carl among the 10 men.
"Dear, meet my brothers."
